The transfer of nearly 80 crates containing thousands of documents has proved controversial in Spain.

The documents were seized and taken to Salamanca after Gen Franco came to power in 1939 - having overthrown an elected Republican government in the Civil War.

They include details of Gen Franco's campaign of repression against his enemies in Catalonia - republicans, freemasons, communists and anarchists among them.

I'm rather interested in the details of these documents. Unfortunately, I don't expect to be able to read them.

Yeah even if they are completely public, it will be a while before they are easily available.
