How does this happen? i thought Hamas was a certain to win, but obviously not. Well..Unofficially anyways. Any thoughts?
I'm not for Hamas or anyother group which uses terrorist methods, just thought would be good to post this article.

Pet0961 4 0273 Palestinian elections, exist polls Ramallah, Jan.25(Petra)-- Fatah movement that represents the ruling party of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas came ahead of other rivals in Wednesday's parliamentary elections according to unofficial results An exit poll conducted the Beer Zeit University Program of Development study showed that Fatah has won 46.4 percent of the vote with the main rival Islamic Jihad Movement (Hamas) trailing with 39.5 percent. Hamas is competing in the election under a list named "Reform and Change" Another party, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine got 4.2 percent of the vote. The Third Way party headed by outgoing Palestinian Finance Minister Salam Fayyad won 2.4 percent. Feda party won 2.7 percent and Independent Palestine headed by human rights campaigner Mustafa Barghouti with 2.7 percent. Final and official results of the elections for the 231-seat legislative body are expected to be announced early Thursday according to sources from the Palestinian Central Election Commission.
