Yes, Fidel sure is famous for his speeches. I believe that he stills holds the world record for the longest UN speech which is over 4 hours. I also heard that Fidel topped this during an acceptance speech in Cuba in 2000 or 2001.

but the video tapes is mostly 10 sec and 1 min none of the real impressive fidel speaches.

by the way, i went to se guevaras kid,ALeida guevara...
She was in Norway, and i have to say: she has definetly enhareted her dads talent for peach making. the enthusiasm and exitement she sowed was incredible.
The place was so crowded that i were one inch from the shiny skull of a 70 year old. Her first speach and thing went on for an hour.

Then some perople asked questions, about human rights and demCRASY IN cUBA.
SHE ANSWERED confirming the democracy and rejecting the fact of Fidel beeing a dictator. She said (n spanish) you talk about democracy but look at the west. When an entire people skreams NO to war the gowerments still sends men to Iraq and Middle East. What sort of democracy is that.

I can recommend the best speech I&#39;ve heard is the second declaration of havana; In 1962 when Cuba was expelled from the OAS and the US economical blockade begun; they tought that by doing this they could force Cuba to accept imperialist and burgouise back in Cuba or "moderate" the revolution. Cubans answered with this historical declaration, which was approved by the working class.

"The declaration was widely discussed by working people in Cuba and approved by acclamation after being delivered by Fidel Castro to a rally of one million in Havana Feb. 4, 1962. The perspectives in the anticapitalist document struck throughout the Americas like a bolt of lightning because they cut through decades of lies and distortions and illuminated the centuries of struggle against colonial and imperialist domination of Latin America and the Caribbean. The declaration points to the example of the Cuban Revolution as the way forward for the oppressed and exploited in the Americas and worldwide".
