OH MY GOD YOU PEOPLE ARE ABSURD.
Like the proletariat will be free of his Capitalist chains? Free of the 'chains' to do what? Communism will never work. Socialism has never lasted over a prolonged period of time. None of your bullshit will work.
French Socialism - look at their economy now, it is in an abysmal state and is just getting worse each day.
Soviet Union - Rapid growth through Stalin's plans, but then it stagnated under Kruschev. Under Leonid Brezhnev, It was strained to the utmost and in the latter years of the Soviet Union food was barley in the stores. Everything being funnelled into keeping the Military Machine alive. Heavy Economy, Industry, and the Military was the only things worth even mentioning in the Soviet System. Everything else was a complete failure and yielded little success.
Cambodia - We don't even have to mention anything here to know that Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge was an absolute joke.
North Korea - Yea, Wow they are doing real good right now. Everyone told to love Kim Il and that he is the sun. "Abandon your religious beliefs and submit your will to Kim Il and you won't be killed" - A North Korea Executioner. There is no way you can tell me that North Korea is doing well, Their people are shot daily, and driven into an agrarian society, and all farming profits are pushed into the Military to feed them.
Vietnam - The only country that is not a complete joke. Still is pretty sad, but the only country that is making some process in it's economy and urbanization.
China - Millions of people killed in the first stages of Communist under Mao Ze Dong. Little economic growth made, then during the cultural revolution tens of thousands of more people got killed. And then Tiannamen Square....So...There is the workers there REVOLTING against the Communist Government. Why? Why would they revolt against your paradise? Obviously because it sucked, and was repressive and poorly managed. The only thing that saved China and is actually making any progress is the introduction of small Capitalist movements inside the country and now they are making some Economic growth.

No, misguided fool, the workers of China revolted against their POLICIES. All of those communist societies turned to dictatorships. If you follow Marx's agendas, like the kibuts (not sure of spelling) of Israle, where you take children away from their parents and train them to give to the community, then you can be a world leading society.

I don't want any stupid little shit posts like that as a response ever.
If you are going to reply to my post it better damn well be an educated, decent post. No dumbasses like the previous poster. Post about all my subjects, post some REAL responses to them, no dillusional bullshit about the glorious workers and the revolution.

Oh, i dont know why i even bothered answering this. At least you can go read about these theories and well talk after you have some shit to back ur statements up. SO FOR NOW, U CAN GO DIE :P

I tried to handle your ignorance civily, but what I didnt know is that your an asshole. So, if you don't want to open your mind, you can open you pants and go fuck yourself. Jesus Christ man, why even go to all the trouble to register here if you don't want to learn and expand your views? Just shut up, and when your life falls to the hands of the corporation, because your mediocre little job was downsized, and you are evicted from your little shit box apartment, then maybe you will think, Hmm, could this system be designed to fuck up the little guy?

Dude, I was a fucking Socialist/Communist support for the longest time. But I've woken up to the fucking facts. All the countries claiming to be Communist, and ATTEMPTING COMMUNIST AND SOCIALIST GOVERNMENTS HAVE FAILED HORRIBLY.
Cuba is the only Socialist country that is doing decent. And even they are slipping now in the latter years of Castros rule.
I know what I'm fucking talking about, You can't deny anything I've fucking said. It's all real, It's all happened and is happening. All attempts at Socialist or Communist governments have been absolute wrecks.

French Socialism - France isn't socialist.
Soviet Union - I agree that the Soviet union stagnated over time, but I think that they could have been more if Stalin hadn't come to power.
Cambodia - Absolutely.
North Korea - They can't even be mentioned as a socialist country.
Vietnam - I agree
China - What about the WTO riots in Hong Kong?

Hong Kong is it's own seperate little city state pretty much. China allows them to have a Capitalist Society in place so you can't say anything about Hong Kong representing China. The people there live differently than their other countrymen.

None of these are Socialist, fool. Paris Commune and Spanish Anarchist Communes all the way!

Ahh yes, Tiammen Square, you realize the fat cats in Washington don't really give a shit if China goes democractic or not? Why? Because they're getting rich of the exploitation of Chinese workers! Sure, they can make a little lip service to the Tiamenn Square incident to keep their whole "anti-communism" thing going. But truely, its rather a shame that people don't know that the Chinese students were singing "L'Internationale", the anthem of the International Socialist Movement, before being massacured by the Chinese "PLA". :(

Maybe its because your life got alot better, realized you can make alot more money off other people's backs? Got a new house, maybe even two new ones? We're not communists because "its a good idea", we have are material reasons to be....and you better hope that communism is possible, because capitalism isn't going to last...and I fear what will come in its place if it isn't the end of class society.
And I doubt you really know what you are talking about with the term "Communist government".

Of course Capitalism isn't going to last, I don't entirely support Capitalist or say it's a great system. As soon as the other poorer countries get things going a bit and start improving their conditions we are going to have less resources to draw from. Eventually it's going to be a slow agonizing fall for Capitalism, but it's ultimately going to have to modify and adapt to new conditions. Now what comes out of that I have no idea, It's too hard for anyone to say exactly. There will either be bigger wars fought over resources and people will be forced back down the economic ladder in order to take their resources. Or the world will have to learn to share resources and manage them extremly well. And Xavier if you have no counter or anything reasonable to say to my comment, don't talk.

Yeah, all these counrtries are pretty pathetic. What are you gonna do? Nothing.
The saddest part of the commies at this borad is that they don't admit to anything, and when you point out to them how sad ass things were in a given country, they say, "It's not true socialism...that coiuntry was never socialist...no country's ever been socialist.
Then they ***** and moan about America, when they either:
1. Wish they were here
2. Wish they had $20
3. Wish they had a decent car
4. Wish they could get a date

Like the proletariat will be free of his Capitalist chains? Free of the 'chains' to do what? Communism will never work. Socialism has never lasted over a prolonged period of time. None of your bullshit will work.
An analysis of history would prove otherwise. The dynamic of human history is class conflict. The material conditions of a society build up under a mode of production leading to a revolution of a new class. Under capitalism, the proletariat negates the bourgeois state because it is the only class that can do so.
French Socialism - look at their economy now, it is in an abysmal state and is just getting worse each day.
France has not had any form of society that could be called ‘socialist’ within the past century. ‘French Socialism’ was more or less social democratic Keynesian capitalism but that is irrelevant as the modern French economy is simply Keynesian capitalist.
Of course, Khrushchev’s policies would cause stagnation they reintroduced market mechanisms in areas that would have never have succeeded in a free market. The more pressing issue of the Soviet Union was that for most of its history it was a degenerated workers’ state. The proletariat ran the state through several corrupt bureaucracies creating a society where the proletariat had little power of the means of production.
Cambodia - We don't even have to mention anything here to know that Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge was an absolute joke.
They weren’t communists either. They were agrarian utopianists.
Since the early 1990s no self-respecting communists refers to the DPRK as ‘socialist’. I predict that North Korea will be reunified with the South in a decade or so after some ‘market socialist’ reforms.
The only thing that saved China and is actually making any progress is the introduction of small Capitalist movements inside the country and now they are making some Economic growth.
Millions of people died, they were not all killed, in fact very few of these ‘millions’ were murdered. The Maoists seized power during a famine, a very terrible one at that. Most of the deaths resulted as an attempt to stop the famine, perhaps the efforts of the Maoists even lowed the number of those who would die as a result of the famine.
China could not be properly called socialist after 1976 in which the Maoists leadership fell apart. The nation fell under the leadership of Deng Xiapong who was an admit pro-capitalist. The Tiannamen Square incident was a natural outgrowth of this. You think those kids wanted free market capitalism? No. Most of them were Maoists and social democratic types.

I'm not from a "socialist" country but I've been to America, my brother lives there actually. Some of my opinions about it:
Pros:
- Great variation in ethnicities, New York is a wonderful multicultural city for instance.
- Good food! Not necessarily that healthy though.. But when is really good food that?
Cons:
- The misery of the poor and the evident lack of a functioning welfare system.
- A raving, public nationalism that reaches levels seen previously only in outspokenly
fascist dictatorships.
- The promoting of individualism and every-man-for-himself mentality, called the "American Dream".
Would I like to move there? Not before the revolution!
Am I poor and jealous of the rich? No. That being said, I still despise capitalism and everything it stands for.
Do I have a decent car? Never was into the whole car thing. I live in a big city with
a good public transportation system. It was far better and cheaper before it was partly privatized  obviously, but it still makes a car unnecessary for me.
Do I need a date? People actually date each other even outside the US! :D
And I'm rather good looking if you were wondering that. ;)

I'm from Canada there tool. I was a ardent Socialist and Communist supporter for 3.5 years. I was all for the proletariat and workers revolution and thought it was all cool. But then I came to realize, We need those people that work all the shitty jobs. We need those poorer countries so we can sustain our way of life. If everyone lived like we did, We would all have to lower our living standards substantially in order to maintain the worlds resources. We need the poor, we need the unfortunate for without them our lifestyle would collapse. So while I don't necessarily ignore or not care about the poor guy, I know that attempting to help him would only bring about a collapse of our whole way of life. And if we tried to help every country achieve a great revolution, it would mean the collapse of the global economy.

First world nations, notably the USA are post-industrial, we're outsourcing jobs to the third world for cheaper labor markets so we can a bigger quota of surplus value, here in the United State, we have capability to produce our own substitence, the factories are there, only rusting and closed up, inactive in production.
Its only a matter of time when such third world nations themselves come developed, and thats when hopefully, if Marx was right, that proletarian revolution will begin. Due to the fact that capitalism is producing faster and faster for less labor power, it is forced to keep the output the same, which means it must use less and less labor power to keep an optimal level of output. Problem is, it simply gets harder and harder to maintain a profit quote in such conditions.

I think your argument doesnt take into account the fact, that there is always some new product Xi on the market. After the production of Xi is made more effecient, a new product Xi+1 enters the market and employs the people that were made redundant when production of Xi was improved.
50 years ago you didn't have mp3 players, walk mans, cds, mobile phones, TV, skate boards, so many types of cosmetics, video recorders, PCs, laptops and many others. In 50 years there will be thousands of new products you can't think of now.
As long as new products keep comming on the market, capitalism can work.
Capitalism could only get into problems if the rate at which new products are designed couldn't compensate for the job losses due to more efficient production.

Kid, it is patriotic fools like you who don't admit to anything. Still can't face the facts that the Vietnamese and Somali people defeated and humiliated the rulers in Washington. "We're Americans! We walk over anyone! Everyone Gets out of our way."
What sad-ass things are you talking about? By the way, why don't you go Russia and the former Yugoslavia to see how nice Capitalism has been to people there. You might want to look at life before the counter-revolution, true it was far from perfect but a paradise when compared to now.
The have been plenty of Socialist countries, but never a Communist one.
