where are u in the political spectrum?
I am still researching the various leftist ideologies, but I find myself agreeing with anarcho-syndicalism so far.
where do you stand on the current government of the united states??
Well if you mean the current administration, then obviously I am against it, but I have a feeling that's not quite what you mean. I find the current government of the U.S. has become bogged down with only two truly viable political parties which, as your avatar so eloquently states, are essentialy the same party with different packaging. With the vast amounts of money the Dems and Republicans have to spend on advertising etc., and with the public mentality that it is only a matter of Democrats vs. Republicans, the possiblilty of an alternative party being elected to any major political office is virtually nil.

why don't the other parties spend on advertising, etc. and gain publicity and support?

its not that easy Socialist........were not talking about pennies here.........the problem is that both parties receive funding and dont have to dig deep. To receive funding you need atleast a 5% vote but to get a 5% vote you need to advertise but you cant advertise because you dont get funded so the cycle continues. Only a very rich party could keep up with the other 2 but even then they are just throwing there money away

Because the media controls the USA.
Take Fox news for example. There are hundreds of different radio, TV, and websites devoted to it. It reports all around the world. Though it always promotes whatever nonsense the Bush administration feels it should be spewing at the current time.
Also, most stations are bought out by bribary, to play a majority of Republican or Democrat advertisement bullshit videos. This isn't just like one a commercial break... I remember getting up to the point where I would see the same advertisement back to back.
Therefore if you don't have enough money to pay-off a bunch of news stations, and you don't bump nastys with the right people, you'll never get anywhere near that 5%.
Plus Repubs are constantly making inbread babies, so its a bit hard for the civilized world to compete.

Yes, but.. can't communists make their own news agencies? obviously no FOX news is gonna promote communist thoughts and propaganda.
the communists can have a budget, add up to it, give donations, and by the end they will have enough profit to start up a news agency, and hopefully it will grow. That news agency will then be owned by the communists, and therefore it will be a communal ownership. that means that advertisements can be much cheaper, as communists dont have to pay, since it's theyre own...
