Keep Saying No! To New Iraq Resolution.

Last Monday the United States and the United Kingdom presented a
resolution to the UN authorizing force against Iraq. A misconception out
there says that a second resolution would eliminate the massive opposition
to the war. Send a message to the UN Security Council; let them know
that you oppose war with Iraq even if the United Nations authorizes it.

Emergency Appeal to the U.N. Security Council

We've launched an emergency petition from citizens around the world to
the U.N. Security Council. We'll be delivering the list of signers and
your comments to the 15 member states of the Security Council on
THURSDAY, MARCH 6.

If hundreds of thousands of us sign, it could be an enormously
important and powerful message -- people from all over the world joining in a
single call for a peaceful solution. But we really need your help, and
soon. Please sign and ask your friends and colleagues to sign TODAY
at:

In the next week, the U.N. Security Council will likely meet
to decide on authorizing a war against Iraq. If the Council votes to
accept a second resolution, it'll be very difficult to avert a war. But
if the resolution doesn't get enough votes, it'll be a major setback
for the Bush Administration's plans to invade and occupy Iraq.

In the United States and around the world, millions of us oppose a war
against Iraq. We believe that tough inspections can disarm Saddam
Hussein without the loss of a single life. This week may represent our last
chance to win without war.

INTERNATIONAL ACTION ALERT
Turkey has made history!
Please join us in giving support to the Grand National Assembly of
Turkey for their decision not to support the war against Iraq!

Dear Friends,
On March 1st, as 100.000 anti-war activists were marching in the
streets of Ankara, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey said “NO TO WAR” by
defeating the “War Resolution” prepared by the government earlier last
week.

This is tantamount to saying “YES” to the will of the people!

With their votes, the deputies said “NO” to:
•the deployment of foreign (i.e. American) soldiers in Turkey,
•the use of bases and ports by foreign military forces,
•the deployment of Turkish soldiers outside Turkey (i.e. Northern
Iraq).
