I was at barnes and noble yesterday and picked up the new AB on Mao. Havent started reading it but its made out to be a very good book from what ive been told.

While I was their I saw a very large AB of CHE entitled CHE I picked it up and read through the introduction and about the research. It seems that the book holds che in a high prestige. Has anybody read this and can give a recomendation? Its a thick book with a $20 price on it. It looked very promising and i am contemplating buying it.

I think that the one that you are talking about is the John Lee Anderson biography. I bought it and it is really one of the best biographies of Che out there. If it says John Lee Anderson on it, then I recomend you to buy it.

First off, the new Chung biography on Mao is basically an attack on Mao written by a vengeful woman. I questioned some of evidence based on the sources used. However, lets not get into that when we should be discussing Che.

I highly recommend the John Lee Anderson biography as a good objective analysis and description of Che. This author of the book sparked the search for Che's body, which was discovered only a few months after the publication of the book. So if you want an unbiased look into Che's life, you should think about reading this book.
