the impending war has, as you all know brought alot of issues to the fore, Oil, Iraqi peoples oppression, decommisoning of weapons in Iraq, north korea etc. However the autonomous kurds in the north of Iraq are being used as a tool again by the US. Turkey at the weekend refused the US access through turkey however Turkey will allow the US in if they promise the kurds will not get independance. i here u ask "we know this why are u pointing it out?"
East Timor suffered a brutal genocide at the hands of Indonesia which was ignored by the International community for 16 years until 1991 because indonesia was an ally of the US, Australia and the rest of the western world. And furthermore didnt recieve independance until 1999. Turkey is a strong ally to the western world
My point is if the US guarantees Turkey a right over the kurds, they will be forgotten again by the US, as in 1991. a similar atrocity will occur to the Kurds if Turkey gets her way.
