Hey there, i'm new here, just exploring into political thought and philosophies of both the right and the left, i'm not really a communist or a capitalist but by nature i do tend to favour the left, i find it rather foolish to condemn any since both are brilliant methods of organizing economies and also that fact that none of the two have been implemented in their true sense yet, so both of these concepts are fairly theoretical since almost every economy in the world is a mixed economy, with dozes-of or inclinations towards one of the two idealogies, communism or capitalism...

Hi there and welcome, (potential) Comrade!! Lol...

Just one question, when you say the right-wing method of economic organization hasn't been implemented "in it's true sense yet", what kind of economic system are you implying? Do you mean laissez-faire capitalism, fascism or something else?

This might help you find which line is closer to your own. It is a list of different kinds of lines and organizations.

Welcome to RevLeft

I hope that this forum can help u understand that a capitalist economy is anything but "brilliant"

How can the exploitation and unfair distribution of wealth by a chosen few, be "brilliant"?

wow, that's more than just a warm welcome, thanks everyone.

Cullmac - Same,same...learned a lot in a few hours of browsing...finally found a forum worth visiting,lol...it's more like a gathering of thinkers.

The RedBanner - Thanks, let's see if the persuasive power of the left really works, lol.

RedStar1916 - Yes, when i said that the right-wing method of economic organization hasn't been implemented yet in it's true sense, i meant laissez-faire capitalism...but my perception of just the word capitalism is something like a 'survival of the stronger' set up, if you know what i mean, i'm not really good at putting my thoughts down, sorry about that.

romanm - Thanks for the link, i'm hoping to find my own little line, i can't really agree with anything completely.

Tekun - thanks for the welcome - how can unfair taxation to redistribute wealth be 'noble'...it's legal thievery,lol...quit being so rude to the capitalists,lol...i believe that everyone has a right to have their own views.

Socialist Advocate - Thanks for the welcome 'comrade',lol...in these few days that i've been going through this website...i really have inclined towards the left...but then some of the arguements put forward by some of the capitalists on the opposing ideologies sectiona are really interesting....and about che,i've been a fan since a long time now, a great man,i must say....just as easily you say that "capitalism is pure corruption and exploitation and cannot be tolerated."...i could say the same thing about socialism....so it's really the same thing, lol.

i'm hoping to find my own little line
i've alredy found my own little line, its mostly socialist with a very minimal amount of conservation :) i believe that people should stick to their cultures and such.

capitalism is something like a 'survival of the stronger'
well, thats what socialists dont believe in. think about it... the strong should help the weak, not take advantage of him. that way we would be civilised, not some savages trying to eat each other.

just as easily you say that "capitalism is pure corruption and exploitation and cannot be tolerated."...i could say the same thing about socialism....so it's really the same thing, lol.
think about it! the poor people are the ones doing all the work, they deserve all they money, yet all the owners of the businesses get the money.. this comic might help u understand...

so you're basically telling me....for instance...that the people who work for the Virgin Group should be getting all the money instead of richard branson, because of who the Virgin Group exists,i think that would be unfair....

and you tell me, is it the fault of the strong that the weak are weak? why should the strong carry the burden of the weak, they should learn to fend for themselves...and how
civilized is it to force one to pay for the faults of the other?

well, i gotta admit u got a point there.. BUT!... im not saying that the Virgin Group workers should get all the money,.. but Richard Branson should only get a small amount,... but socialism has no money economy. in socialism u do work for the benefit of the people. for example, in a socialist world, Richard Branson would create Virgin Group to provite music, accessories, flights.. etc, not to gain profit. there is no profit in a socialist world.

and how civilized is it to force one to pay for the faults of the other?
how is it a fault that the poor are poor? it's the imperial governments fault for exploiting them and MAKING them poor. plus, they dont have any resources, such as oil, so that they can grow a better economy. its not their fault.

In a capitalist society the "weaker" ones are usually those who live in poverty. Why? Because they are kept down by the rich or kept apart in separate housing, inferior education and less oportunity for advancement in the work place due to those conditions. These conditions perpetuate poverty from generation to generation and few get out of that situation.

Case in point: The victims of Hurricane Katrina. Many people would look at those victims as weak. Why would thousands of people not just leave? Why would groups of people put themselves in this position? Because of the capitalist system, these people have been conditioned to dependency, have little resources and are unable to rise up out of their miserable conditions.

We have a collective responsibilty to help those who cannot yet fend for themselves. This is why our thinking, culture and values need to change. We will all eventually pay the price for this type of social conditioning/ the law of the jungle.
