So hi there. I used to post at a website called 'conservative punk' where I was labeled a 'radical socialist'. They permitted me to discuss topics with them, and I took great pride in championing neo-cons with my Chomskite foreign policy views.
However, in more fundamental and metaphysical matters, I realized that I truly understood less and less about what I was for. So I am here to try to develop some fundamental believes and come to understand if im a communist, socialist, anarchist, humanist, agonistic, atheist or any combination of these.
Let me give you dudes some autobiography about me.
I am a freshman undergrad in college, 19 years old, and fancy myself a punk. Throughout my education I have had limited access to many of the philosophical views which I lean toward. You see, rural southwestern PA is religiously oppressive, in every sense of the term. And the bigots who run my area have done a wonderful job of censoring anything remotely unorthodox (banning books in school, etc.) Having purposely ostracized myself from this form of institutionalization; I found some semblance of belonging and acceptance within my local punk community, but even that has become dominated by 'Skins' and ' Oi! Punks' (both typically racist).
And so here is the part where the internet makes my life easier. :D
I am here to learn. I will perhaps challenge things said as to gain a better understanding of them, but I sincerely look forward to learning from you.
