Yeah, it's really cute (and Audrey is really cute too). Makes you feel good.

Very nice film, and it doesn't have an automobile persecution, too. ;)

It’s a fearless advocate of public transport in the face of global warming and long lines of car with on person in them.

It's a fantastic film. If you like the style of it you should check out more of Jeunet's films, like Delicatessen or The City of Lost Children. They're not as lighthearted but excellent visually, with some nice dark humour.
Also for fans of the book Life of Pi Jeunet is directing the movie adaptation. WOOT!

I've only met ONE person who didn't like it - "It's way too fairy-tale."
But how come anyone NOT fall for Amélie...?

I thought it was absolute crap. I was suprised it came from Jean-Pierre Jeunet who had been a very reliable director; I loved Delicatessen and The City of Lost Children, hell even Alien: Resurrection was pretty damn good in my opinion, but I found it hard to sit to the end of Amelie.

Where’s the romantic in you? The plot line was lightweight, we know that it’s the over whelming ‘cuteness’ of the film that makes it endearing. The aesthetics of the film are amazing; I can’t get over the look of the thing. And the characters have a quirky cute to them…imbued with the whole ‘reality vs. dream’ theme and seize the day philosophy who wouldn’t love this film?

Really cute, with a typical french sense of humor. I loved it. Amazing sets, script, story line. :)
