Thought it was class.

Heard it was critiscized cause it 'humanized' Hitler, what do you think?

I think it was a very good movie and did quite a good job of showing Hitler as a person and showing how he really felt and acted instead of showing him as some unreal monster.

If anything it does more harm to the NSDAP than good since it shows that their leader was a human and was just as easily scared as we are. It didn't show him as some infallible, fearless leader but as a person who is fearful and quite fallible.

Hell, it even does a good job demonizing the NSDAP when Joseph Goebells says "the German people do not deserve our mercy. They voted for us and now their little wrists are being slit".

I loved it, but regarding Hitler, I dont even know fully how it portrayed him because I dont speak German, but what I hear is that they gave him a very hickish way of speaking with ignorant turns of phrases, which is apparently how he really spoke. Even though I didn't speak german, I still found it to be a powerful movie, and the only thing creepier than Hitler was the people under him (especially Geobbels, the Carl Rove of the 3rd reich). German war movies are great though, no jingoism like in saving private ryan (come on, that american flag at the end, pure propaganda).

I think it did a fine job of portraying Hitler. I really liked the way NSDAP was portrayed as well... brutal and relentless. I'd say this movie was one of the best Hitler-portraying films to date. 4 stars! Damn fine acting too!
