That's bullshit. I read that book, and that's what turned me onto socialist thinking. The book shows you Che realising the corruption of his homeland and surrounding countries, with some very relevant ideals to his later work. Che a totalitarian?? Hardly.

Ebert and Roeper gave a similar review to the movie. Complete bullshit.

And these insurgencies likewise accomplished nothing, except to bring about the death of hundreds of thousands, and to set back the cause of Latin-American democracy—a tragedy on the hugest scale.
The only thing that set back Latin American democracy was American imperialism. This was realized by Che during his stay in Guatemala when Arbenz's government was deposed with CIA backing. This political activism inspired by Che has actually had many positive benefits for Latin America contrary to what Berman says. Film critics should stick to criticizing films based on the movie itself and should avoid discussing politics, especially when they have no understanding of it.

That was much more a mockery of Che than a review of the movie.
