Hey guys,

I have been watching Celebrity Big Brother because I was bored tonight and it suddenly occured to me that the whole thing is disgusting!

I am a guy and I like girls and getting 'stuff' at parties and whenever BUT doesn't big brother disgust you because it is so orientated around sex. I mean 10 and 11 year old watch this, if not younger, they watch it every single year for months, it's just scary how these stupid adults (or the majority of them) can affect the future.

What are you views?

It pains me to know that whilst a fantastic, yet sad, programme like Why We Went To War is being shown on the MoreFour channel, people across Britain were watching trash like Big Brother, and rubbish such as Soapstar Superstar.

My answer is Yes..
(pinoy Big Brother Philippines) ABS CBN they don&#39;t want you to criticize their TV station in their forum (www.forums.abs-cbn.com), and some of their shows are making rumors against the stars of the other channel (GMA)... even if the actress is wholesome, they are making harsh news about her having sex with anyone she wants... Even if it was just a joke, it&#39;s immoral to destroy somebody&#39;s image just because she belongs to that company (the mortal enemy of ABS CBN is GMA)... and they don&#39;t like that if GMA will do the same against them... Pinoy Big Brother is in ABS CBN, they don&#39;t care if they are making bad influence to the youth... that&#39;s where the money is.... MONEY MONEY MONEY.

I can&#39;t help thinking that, were George Orwell still alive, he would never have allowed his greatest creation to be associated with such utter televisual trash as &#39;Big Brother&#39;.

I&#39;m enjoying this series of CBB (which is almost always better than the regular show). It&#39;s good TV, George Galloway trying to turn the heat off him with typical politician tricks.

I like watching BB as i find it interesting looking at human behavour,I like to see how people react when confronted and how a group of people can live in harmony ETC: It shows the people the current state of humanity, the fact that you have to be goodlooking and cool and wear and have the right stuff to win.What makes people popular on that show is not ther good nature,but wheather they are "cool".I think its good to see that blatantly being shown on tv as you can point it out to people you come in contact with. I find it awfull that the likes of preston and chantelle getting popularity just because they are goodlooking or cool,and someone like dennis or george who are fairly open minded frank people not being looked at in the same light&#33;Its scary to see the state of the younger persons ability to interact with the world outside of there personal lives and watch them live in a "fake" exsistance revolving around fame and popularity.What hope have we if we are breeding people like this?

If so we should ask ourselves what the real reason for this success is.

I wonder if people want to be abstracted from real life or want to identify just to feel aproved in their feelings by watching other people living.

It is a passive consuming activity and there is no need to think great thoughts but feelings,it is more irrational,I think and this consequence attracts.

Well,it is industrial produced mass culture for commerce and hence the ones who invented this show know and sensed,studied their peer group very well if it really succeeded and it seems to me it did,although I never watch it(seems to be like voyeurism)and that&#39;s why I&#39;m not sure if it&#39;s still so succesful but it went around the world,as far as I know.

I haven&#39;t watched a single episode of this supposed &#39;celebrity&#39; Big Brother, though I did see a clip of George Galloway pretending to be a cat. I long to see his return to the House of Commons, a few speeches with cat references would be fantastic :D

Why does it matter if you have seen something when you were younger, how can that affect the thrill of something? Sex can still be exciting and fun, whether you saw it when you were 5 or 15, it doesn&#39;t matter.

And as for being exposed to sex at a young age and thus becoming a pornstar, well that&#39;s ridiculous.
I saw a fire when I was a kid, which I thought was exciting at the time, though I am not a firefighter. Similarly, I saw an aeroplane, though I am not a pilot. Same for several thousand other things I witnessed as a child, I don&#39;t work with them, even if I do enjoy them. So why would seeing sex make one become a pornstar? If that is the case, be prepared to see a huge influx of pornstars into society, for the last young generation has seen much more sex on television, the internet etc. than any before it.

couldent give a fuck if its on or off, simple concept: if you like it ..watch it , if you dont like it...don&#39;t watch it. Personaly i don&#39;t think its all that bad, i watch it sumtimes cause theres never really anything good on tv.
