CARACAS, Venezuela American singer and activist Harry Belafonte says President Bush is the "greatest tyrant" and "greatest terrorist in the world."
Belafonte's comments came during a trip to Venezuela. He led a delegation of Americans to meet Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez (OO'-goh CHAH'-vez). Actor Danny Glover and Princeton University scholar Cornel West were with him. They met with Chavez for more than six hours late Saturday.
Belafonte told Chavez that (m) millions of Americans support his revolution.
Belafonte is a UNICEF goodwill ambassador and has been outspoken in criticizing the U-S embargo of Cuba. He says U-S media have falsely painted Chavez as a dictator, countering that there is democracy in the country and that its citizens are optimistic about their future.
