I guess you need to get in contact with some sort of group that is active in your area. Which group you should go for depends on your political philosophy.
The communist party of Britain (or whatever it is called) will get back to you if you contact them. But they are a minor group. I would be surprised if they have active members in your area (although they could of course).
I expect the Socialist Workers PArty will have active members in your area, along with RESPECT and the STW coalition in general. Whilst many object to SWP technique/philosophy; they certainly do have numbers and resources. All of these groups will get back to you.
Then you have the Labour party. Which initself is possibly not a repulsive idea, as some local areas are flexing their lefty muscles again in preperation for Blair's standing down. Especially due to the more recent developments which seem to have threatened Brown's inheritence (granted, due to younger "blairites", but it is still possible, if there is a leadership contest, that a lefty will also stand). Related to this is an excellent organisation, Socialist Appeal. Who are preparing for the swing in the labour party that is bound to happen sooner or later, back to the left. Again, all these groups have supporters, and opponents. You have to recognise that the left is deeply fragmented: and each individual "knows" that they are doing it the right way. There are SA members on this board still, i think, so either contact the organisation, or make a thread directed to them on here - and i'm sure they shall contact you. Either way though, contacting the HQ of each organisation will often result in some form of feedback. Obiouvsly, the bigger the org, the more feedback you can expect.
Then of course are your anarchist groups. Which i confess, i know little about - i suggest you contact orgs, or better still; someone like TAT (the anarchist tension) through PM. Again, if you make a thread asking for anarchist groups, you shall most likely get feedback.
Ultimately, which group you choose to contact, all depends on your personal politics.
Although i think you should also realise that a revolution is not going to happen in the south west for the forseeable future.
