Theres a few posts on music to listen to, anti-fascist bands, etc, but there dont seem to be any threads on music not to listen to

Heres just a few bands off the top of my head:

H8 machine
Vanguard
Final Solution
Soul of Steel
Prussian Blue (mentioned in previous posts?)

Theres loads of rascist, fascist supremacy bands out there, so I thought this thread might help us know what to stay clear of

skrewdriver (think they are associated with blood and honour or combat18)

I was just about to say Skrewdriver. Someone sent me their song "White power!" and "(Oh no) here comes a commie!" Absolute bullshit, the first one showed how baseless their hatred of other races are, and the second how ignorant they are.

He looks to the east, he worships
the beast
Nothing but air in his head
Appears in your eyes, peddling lies
Selling ideas that are dead

He’s out there every single
morning
Talking ’bout his new day that is dawning

(chorus)
On no, here comes a commie
Red star on his breast
Oh no, here comes a commie
Won’t you give it a rest?

He hates his own land, he has a
plan
To bring it all down to the ground
Confuse you with lies, installs his spies
Brings our destruction around

He just wants to see our nations
dying
His desire is for a Red flag flying

(chorus)

instrumental break

(chorus)

Support for his plans, comes from
alien lands
People who don’t belong here
They come to these shores, they always want more
With their lies and their crocodile tears

The Red gets his support from
these invaders
Hopes that their sheer numbers will evade us

(chorus)

Oh no, here comes a commie
Says his revolution is nigh
On no, here comes a commie
Won’t you off and die?

Wow, see how well they disproved out beliefs? No, neither do I.

I dont think you should stay away from any music. Any music has some good qualities even if the lyrics and general message are bullshit. And if we avoided all music with a message we disagreed with there wouldn't be much out there.

Also i belive that diversity and opposision are healthy, if we dont listen to there idiotic ramblings we would not be aware of what we are up against.

Wow ok didn't mean to piss anyone off - I wasn't telling you what to listen to, I just thought the thread might help - because personally I don't enjoy listening to racist music - that's all. And about needing to know what the right are saying, we don't need music to do that do we? We can just read a typical hate-group website or check out what the Bush administration is doing.

Avoid buying Burzum records as their label is linked to a group called National Alliance

He admitted to being a "nazi" by his interpretation of the word, which is quite different from the rest of the world's as he later explained. Turns out he's just a very strong nationalist and not as racist as people believe or something, still not a nice guy, but everyone deserves the truth to be known.

To be honest I don't decide whether to listen to a band or not because of their politics, unless they are obnoxiously and stupidly strongly right. E.g. Skrewdriver sound pretty stupid but, say, if a band is right wing but don't sing about it so much I won't mind. I may not like the band, but I'll like the music. However, I find it very hard to listen to right wing lyrics and I tend to end up with a bias against right wing bands because of their politics and don't end up trying the music.

I've got to sart putting "joke" next to my post, still I don't like the idea, people should pass there own judgment on music, to be honest I'ed lisen to scrwdriver or what ever if I thourt the drumming was cool. Then I'ed laugh at the dumb lyrics.

Humm... most music isn't political at all.

Skrewdriver's first album All Skrewed Up when they were still a punk band had some decent tracks on it, they didn't become openly racist until their second release with the singer as the only remaining member. Even then there are cuts on it with no mention of racism that I listen too, Boots and Braces is a skinhead classic and isn't a racist song, plus I also have a fondness for Shove the Dove. the bottom line is that music is only dangerous if you aren't secure in what you believe in.

I think you have to have listened to it to be able to comment on it. Under no circumstances should you pay to listen to these fascist bands. But listen to it, so you know how to argue against it, can use examples to prove your points, and crush and oppose their ignorant attitudes.

U shudnt not listen to any bands. i think that u shud listen to bands on the right-wing for two reason, firstly, somewhere, 1 in a 100000 songs, there might be something that makes sense - maybe! lol.. if they got a brain cell in their skulls.. just maybe!!
secondly, u shud be able to debate by listening to opposing ideas that u disagree with.

How original.

His desire is for a Red flag flying
Oh no, say it's not true!!

Hopes that their sheer numbers will evade us
That makes no sense WHATSOEVER.

Won’t you off and die?
Nope
