What was the most important "job" Che had?

His position at the Department of Industralization with as first director, or as President of the National Bank?

The book Cuba: Anatomy of a Revolution tells us: "When Guevara moved into the presidency of the National Bank last November, his position as head of the Industrialization Department was taken by Cesar Rodriguez, an engineer; Cut Che retains his interest in the Department (he told us that he has no taste for the bank job and would prefer his former position as head of the Department of Industrialization to any other in the government) [...]

And why did he become President of the National Bank, and why did he leave the Department of Industrialization?

I would think that his position as Commandante was the most important. But in response to the second part, I'm not too sure. Cuba never really industrialized because the USSR wouldn't give that sort of aid despite Che's constant badgering of Krushchev.

I thought that he became Minister of Industries after his job as the President of the National Bank. It was just a job that was offered him, and he accepted since most of the banking experts had fled or been killed. He probably quit this job as president perhaps because he didn't like the job and didn't have much experience with banking. However, I don't know why he quit his job as Minister of Industries or if a reason was even mentioned. The year that he gained the job was the same year as the Bay of Pigs invasion so he may have quit in order to command troops for the protection of Cuba.
