A possible solution to war and saddam, would be to globally pressure him to hold democratic elections in Iraq. Although this could possibly end up ugly. Worst comes to worst the elections would turn to an uprising. Now let's see if the USA stands for what it constitution outlines, Liberty, Freedom, Justice and it won't intervene, or place its CIA henchmen on an assisanation plot.

I highly doubt Saddam would agree to "free" elections no matter how great the pressure from other countries is. Also, I doubt the U.S. would even want this, because it would keep them from getting the oil they're after. And if by some miracle Saddam agreed, nobody would run against him, fearing for their lives. If some extremely brave person decided to try and run they would either end up dead, or lose because all the Iraqi citizens would be afraid to vote against Saddam. After the invasion the U.S. will probably set up a government with "free" elections, however we all know it will be nothing more than a puppet government, and all the elected candidates pro-usa. Hey, what a coincidence!
