What about Buddhism and Communism?

Personally I think they are quite compatible.

Sure Buddhism might be compatible with Communist ideals, but as far as ideology goes, few actual Communists need any additional lifestyle 'pointers' than are already present within Communist/Anarchist ideals.

Compatible? Maybe.
Necessary? No.

Personally, I'd rather not subscribe to additional doctrines when I find that I am quite fulfilled by my political beliefs and the lifestyle I live that has developed/emerged from them. So maybe it's all I need.

Hello!

I am both a Buddhist and a Communist.

I think that you should read this:

First, I'd like to respond to ClenchedFist. I based my views on the
Buddhist philosophy. I really don't consider myself religious, and I don't think it really has anything to do with a god. The Buddha never really said anything about god/s.
My philosophy is that because the universe is in constant flux (hence the name), people should stop trying to hold on to consitency. Thusly, capitalism is inproper, because the wealthy often stay in power, and they want it to stay that way. Communism is better, because it is influenced by the constnt change of the views of the people that live there. My views are a mix between libetarianism and communism, and a hint of the buddhist philosophy, as I said before.

Buddhism simply is. It's not some new age hippy bullshit you add into your daily routine of "spiritualism" to make yourself feel good. It's a scientific explanation of why things are what they are, not some crutch that makes you feel good in life.

I agree with you LA GUERRA OLVIDADA, thank you for keeping it so simple. My ideas on the other Buddhist forum are being disregarded and insulted by redstar; I think your views would be appreciated if you posted more.
