Today, Japanese Americans and our friends pause to commemorate a largely unnoticed anniversary: On Feb. 19, 1942, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, sending more than 120,000 Japanese Americans to internment camps throughout the western United States.
