Misfits

[Atlas Swallowed]

I love the old Misfits with Glen Danzig as the vocalist. The Misfits seem to lack orginality and just sound like a tired wanna be metal band without him instead of one of the greatist punk bands they were with him.

They are awesome, but sometimes I feel embarassed to listen to them due to the level of shitness of their fans.

I was curious if anyone actually liked the new crap. Did not even know they were around anymore until a few months ago. Don't keep up with music just listen to the stuff I grew up with in the 70s and 80s.

I see more misfits t-shirts now than I ever did in the 80s. Alot of kids are wearing Iron Maiden t-shirts from thier older albums now. I wonder if they even listen to the music or just like the way they look.

Personally I even liked them when they had Michale Graves, the guitars sounded more intense and the vocals more gloomy. Im not very fond of their current line up though :angry:

Their stuff with Graves wasnt bad , but it wasn't that great either. Danzig was by far the best. I saw them 2 years ago with Balzac (awesome horror punk band) and they weren't that great.

With so much commercialized crap out thier now, it would not surprise me if people liked the newer Misfits regardless of how much I think they suck. You did not offend me I can understand why you would think it was a obvious topic. Its a shame that they can still use the bands name.

I saw them at Riotfest 2005 just a while back, they were good, I thought...their fans are 80% poser, but oh well...so are RATM...but all in all, they were not as bad as one would have thought.

The Misfits are an awesome Horror Punk band, I'm a fan of theres, and I agree Danzig and the old Misfits, without they original singer it isn't the same band...

my favorite song is american nightmare. Has anyone gone to see them lately? I would never pay to see the band now.
