Now, I do not know much on this subject, aside from it is supported by the Libertarians, I tink, and that it is just a low flat tax. Seems fair to me, but I figure there is a catch, any one care to educate me? Perhaps a debate on if it is fair?
 I am very unsure about it, I suppose it is fair and equal....don't take me for a right winger, I just don't know much about this economic policy.

The flat tax is most definetly not fair! Imagine a society with a 10% flat tax. Now imagine you make $840,000 a year, you'd pay $84,000 in taxes.
Now image you make $8,400 a year, you'd pay $840.
The person who pays $84,000 a year will be a lot better off than someone who pays $840. When we include millionaires, a flat tax is chump change for the millionaires while the poor are fucked.

The only fair tax is the progressive income tax system.

Flat tax is mad. People who can affoard to apy more tax should do so. It just resuslts in an even bigger concentration of wealth at the top. Even the republican party acknowledges that!
