Hello everyone,
I joined a while back but never really gave a proper introduction. I found this site to be very interesting and the members to be very informative. Im 21 years old and from Canada. Im also part deaf and am currently trying to get public schools to teach ASL to children at a young age. Partly because i have faced much discrimination and felt almost disabled because it was hard for me to understand ppl and vice versa. I have also spent some time on reserves and witnessed the continous oppression of our First Nations people on reserves. I am planning on going back, this time with a film crew to bring awareness to this issue.
I hope to learn alot by being here and getting to know all of you and hopefully i can contribute more in the future.
