I've heard of them before, people have recommended them to me, I might've heard a song but I don't remember it. I do remember seeing that record at the store when I was looking through records, though.

they are pretty good. their replacement drummer died about a year ago from some bad blow after a show. they have most of the same members from the band choking victim.

Yea, I have everyone of LoC's cd's, my favorite is mediocre generica, relased on september 11 2001, its just a good cd, and its ska but crusty at the same time(very NYC influenced), Choking victim is really good as well, sometimes I like them more than LoC, also good checks are INDK(pronounced In-Decay), american distress, and morning glory, all bands have some members of LoC in them.
Another good band to check out would be No-Cash, no meber from LoC or any of the other bands, but still good, they have some more hip hop sounding songs, more ska, more punk, they are very well rounded in my opinion, only thing is sometimes I don't like his voice.

Terrible, tuneless and bland band.

I used to like them.
The guys are assholes though. Stza fucked this guy I know's girlfriend while he was in prison. That's pretty low.
Plus they tried to fight Philly RASH. They borrowed some band's equipment, trashed it, then RASH said something about it and Stza started swinging a guitar at them proclaiming "I am Stza...leftover crack will kill you".
Oh, and Brandon (the drummer) died from bad heroin, not blow.

Stza seems intelligent but if you listen to stuff you hear about him he doesn't seem so nice he seems like a wanker, mate of mine told me he was quite mean to his son, who was homosexual, and his son killed himself.
Good music however

I was at that show. I remember him saying that "If you cross this line I will kill you" . and swiging his guitar around. Both times I met Stza he was drugged out of his mind and a complete dick. Nothing beats Choking Victim. Morning Glory and INDK are pretty good also.

Yeah, when I met them they seemed like total asshats . . . but their roadie was a real sweetie. I think I helped carry an amp or something for them.
That said, STZA has written some really fucking great lyrics. They know how to create an image, an ideology, really convey something in their aesthetic, etc. 0 rather than just playing music - which is, imho, important.

yeah there fucking awesome... my band plays a few of their songs
some of their stuff is pretty raw and pointless lyrically though ie "gay rude boys unite"...... " blah... ill shoot your kid at school coz hes gonna grow up to be a fucking asshole just like you"
has anyone heard the "baby jesus sliced up in a manger" album with F-minus... it rocks lol

"Life is Pain" is a really good song by LoC. Thats probably one of my favourite songs. "Gang Control" is a good one too.

yeah gang control is awesome. most of their more ska-ry stuff is extremely melodic ..."gay rude boys unite"...."nazi white trash" "super tuesday" loads of it is quite good musically (at least from a punk point of view lol) just a shame about the voice of the lead vocals being so skag influenced lol

They almost got the shit kicked out of them when they came to Toronto, they seemed like assholes to me and I wouldn't go see them again, worst kind of crusties, don't work, do a fuck ton of drugs and lecture everyone else on how to live pfft.

When I met them they seemed like good guys(I met them on the tour when their drummer had died, I saw them in september, and he died in December right?), and I got all the members to sign a pair of shorts I had on at the time, and they where all down with it, and we joked a bit, then they played, and it was probably the best show of my life.
