I heard on the news that some people are traveling to Iraq to act as a human shield in order to protect the Iraqis in an attempt to stop the war.

Does anyone have any info about this, any web links?

No info, but it sounds like a bit of a foolish idea, doesn't it? Will the US military forces allow themselves to be stopped by that kind of thing? I realize that they might consider the lives of Americans more important that the lives of some Iraqis, but couldn't they just ignore the shield and go around. Besides, I suspect their will be much bombing from airplanes before they send in troops to kill. I oppose the war, but I'd join no such thing.

they left from london, planned to pick up more people on their way.

There convoy consists mainly of buses i think, thats all the info i can give off the top of my head right now im afraid.

very stupid indeed. sadam will kill them himself and use it as propaganda. i bet he is loving what they do too
