This is going to be brief (for now), but I'm curious as to what people have to say about Baha'i. It's a monotheistic religion that believes God sent different messengers or "Manifestations of God" down to earth to reveal his word and the ultimate truth little by little. Such prophets include Zoroaster, Buddha, Vishnu, Jesus, Abraham, Mohammed, Baha'u'llah, the Bab, and many others.

Social principles of the religion seem to resemble communist ideals - Sexual equality, abolition of class distinctions, abolition of all forms of prejudice (religious, class, race, gender, etc.), harmony of religion and science, abolition of extremes of wealth and poverty.

I'll post some links later, I'm just curious if anyone here knows about it or has an opinion about it.

I once looked into it, as it attempts to mix many of the different faiths. However I saw that they prohibit the consumption of alcohol and drugs. They also look down on homosexuality. Out of marriage sex is also prohibited. Sounds a little too dogmatic and restricting.

Yeah, plus that whole thing about not being supported by evidence and all.

"Nice" or not, Baha'i still isn't true.

Well, I don't know too much about the religion itself, but I used to work with a woman who was Baha'i. She was a total fruitcake and a real space cadet if that tells you anything.

It's a non-threatening religion that I am able to tolerate. It's not too horrible. I've known a few people who adhere to it and they seemed ok. Still dogmatic and unfounded, though.
