Guide to Counter-Recruitment

I know lots of us talk about counter-rectruitment campaigns at their school and I was wondering their strategies.

What methods do you find most effective?

Are you successful in driving the recruiters out?

Do kids understand what you are talking about?

I would say one of the most effective ways is to show people an alternative to the armed forces. It must be able to provide for ones future. Does anyone know of any programs like this? I know there is the peace corps, but that is usually an after college program and it doesn't really pay for your schooling much.

We have a pretty big counter-recruitment thing going on here. We just had a rally about it (which I unfortunately couldn't attend), we're planning on flyering the schools and screening a movie (trying to get Occupation Dreamland but don't know if it's going to happen; might be a different movie). By the way, does anyone have any suggestions on a movie we could show at an anti-recruitment screening? Suggestions would really be appreciated.
