My name is SilentRevolution,

I first learned about Che about a year ago. I live in Miami and here anything Communist or Marxist is frowned upon. I was taught to belive that Communisn and Fidel and The Revolution where evil and that's how I thought, until recently.

I really want to become involved in the "Culture" (if you can call it that). The problem is I don't know how. I've really only read the most amazing Che biography ever. It was called CHE. I forgot the author. I really want to learn all about how everything started from Marx to Lennin to Trotsky and Stalin etc. etc. I really want to know all this. I want to have a mentor I guess to guide me and teach me or at least poeple that will guide me in the right direction. I wants books and magazines music anything that'll teach me.

A little more about me. I'm 16 and I come from Colombia. In Colombia my family was im the higher Middle-Class of society my Dad a Lawyer, business man of all trades. My mother a designer. We owned ranches and cars and had maids. When we moved here all of that changed...recedntly I've seen all the injustices that the minority has to face to get ahead in a Society of Greed, WArfare and MOney. Whihc is why iw ant to learn.

Hello.

I'm new here too, so I can't really offer the "official" introduction, if there is one... But I consider any free-thinking leftist a comrade. So I welcome you! : )

If you're looking for books to read, I suggest you start with the classic "Communist Manifesto". It can be found on this site: http://www.marxists.org There are loads of articles there, by most of the great "Marxist" thinkers - though you may not always agree with what has been said, that doesn't mean it wasn't worth a look!

Good luck!

Hello there. The book you are talking about is the one by John Lee Anderson.

Just for thought, what did your parents do in Columbia that they could not in America?
