Lenin vs. Trotsky

To tell you the truth, I really don't know as much about Trotsky as I should. So my question to you guys is, What were the differences between Trotsky's theories and Lenin's theories, How were their political views different. And also if somebody could better explain trotskyism for me in the process, that would be great.

Leftists don't agree on the answer to that question. There are many different factions with different positions on it. I recommend reading all of the thread severian linked to for a decent overview of the different positions.
