Was there a link between these two philosophers? Did one influence the other?

Other than both being German, there is no real link between these two philosophers. Marx was born substantially earlier than Friedrich Nietzsche. Twenty-four years to be precise. I'm not sure where you get the impression that there may be a link between the two men. Perhaps if you could explain where you find overlap in their ideas, I could help to enlighten you better.
While I am an avid fan of both philosophers writings, I am at odds to find much comparison between these two men. Marx was definitely sold on collectivism, while Nietzsche was a rabid individualist who abhorred society in general. Please, I'd love to hear your angle though.

So Nietzsche's ideas did not spark any ideas. theories, or even influence Marx?
For some reason i always thought he did.

It would have been very difficult for Friedrich Nietzsche to influence Marx considering that Marx published the Communist Manifesto when Nietzsche was only four years old. You may find it interesting that Marx was actually a student of GWF Hegel and at one time was involved in the Young Hegelians although this affiliation was rather short lived due to ideological differences. Marx was also a fan of Jean-Jacques Rousseau which really does show in his political writings.

I don't know of any relation. Perhaps if you do explain would be best, then we know where you are comnig from. The only super loose connection is the lose of human meaning for both thinkers. Becoming an appendage, or a fly in the market place.
Not really seeing it though.
