France also have alot of oil contracts in Iraq, war is not in their interests but if the US go in France will have to back them (taking a small share of the spoils) or risk losing everything

Canada sent all our troops to Afganistan to keep the warlords from each others troops. hehehe. 4000 there indefinitly, which means 12 000 are tied up. That is close to a third of our army. Mwahahah that is the Max that we ever commit at one time.
