america is under the threat of a missle attack on its western shores. so we get silver bullets ready and shoot at strangers.

okay, so Guevara predicted this one yet no one really comprehends his final motive. he was famous for not writing things down because as revolutionaries know, its not always a good thing, only your forced at times to write something only out of caring for those that are left behind. so those that are left behind know how to fight with hope.

im suspect to this fact and hold true to its inclination. the man shared this quote:

"the history of revolutions has a huge basement, which is not seen in public. revolutions are not absolutely pure movements; they are made by men and unfold and internecine struggles, ambitions, and mutual abandonment. and once all this is overcome, the revolution becomes a part of history that, for good or ill, right or wrong, quiets down and fades away." - Che

although, this is not the quote i originally had in mind to demonstrate on aspect of his character, i will find the other and post it promptly.

we all agree that Che was unique, in fact it appears that the he was fighting the world alone, and in a sense he was. do we as his admires have any idea what the man was up against? of course, most revolutionaries have one-track minds and they never question their actions nor make excuses on their behalf and in their pursuit for "perfection" they are the last ones to realise the extremeness of their mission. its like they are born to rage against the system, and the world fears them because they cant understand the mind set. those who observed him thought he was trying to rule the world. the truth is, he was working to save the world.

now, the moderators here, which i hold in high regard asked that if we post political material it should reflect economics. okay, this will do so, only in a simple way. we all know where to look for statistics, right? like i always say, [email protected] statistics, and [email protected] protest. everything has its place and time under the sun, and so we ride on.

the man was studied in communism, and i commend him for doing as such. it demonstrated his credibility in the most important way...Love. Love is about the only law that can prove us credible. how people manage their personal interactions, relationships, business, friends is their own. in a world such as the one we own, how logical is it to believe there is much credibility? if one wants to be credible, one must only live under the law of love.

as a people interested in communist theories in the promotion of social progress and equality we must be aware of the issues at hand. this issues are the obstacles that prevent the dreams of the people from coming into play. a revolutionary always has a vision and this vision never dies, although it might change hands, religions, classes, and political ideologies, the vision is forever.

i believe Che will be indirectly responsible for the evolution of communism. think about it, the industrial revolution which he learned from Marx and Marx learned from... and so on and so on, proves that communism is flawed like everything else, no big deal there.

everyone agrees that economic issues are important right now, eventually it will change. right now one should focus on survival, whether your living in america or not. dont worry about the side your on, concern yourselves with the truth, share what you find and use it not to rebel in the streets, yet only to fight.

do you realise the opportunity that is before you? dont waste it. seize it. its yours for the taking, no doubt.

Che had concluded that in order to gain economic independence one had to industrilize, so he started up 205 factories. im sure he was aware that the machine was plotting to make its move against him, whether deliberately or accidently it was inevitable. based on a simple fact concerning latin america (" everyone has the right to eat") he was compelled to do as such and he quotes:

"and this struggle will allow the country to grow rapidly and naturally, to come along at a fast pace, but will also have a series of results difficult to overcome. that is neither good nor pretty, but we had to do it and we dont regret it." - Che

i can go on for hours, i wont so please read on.

so what am i trying to get at? dont worry, its coming. maybe not entirely in this post, yet it will come. (the point)

To boast on Che as a perfectionist would be inappropriate for me to do so, one should not be concerned with the perfection of others. if one finds perfection with another, its because its romantic. we are all guilty of it, otherwise what are we doing here?

on a less romantic side, my better side, i state this informally as to friends. Che's memory demands more of us. are we prepared to deal with it? given the opportunity, are we willing to examine our roles and make the changes neccessary to ensure that we are his successors. most of the work has already been done for us yet if we refuse to wake up and take people serious we are the ones who are in danger. the dealings with a dead man's ghost is like playing with fire. its physics people, plain and simple physics.

keep going back and forth with political ideology, its okay yet it wont facilitate anything, not now anyway.
a quote from Che concerning "socialism":

"here people learn on the job and are still beginners...i myself have spoken at times to comrades who have said they didn't like this socialism business much, so i asked them: dont you agree with the agrarian reforms, or the urban reform, or expropriating the americans, or nationalization, social justice, and everyone's right to enjoy the fruit of their labor? and they swore to me that that wasnt it, that they liked all that so much they were prepared to sacrifice their lives for it. so i said to them, if your in favor of that then your precisely in favor of socialism, and they went away in calmer frames of mind."

i must stop, i hope to post again and provide detailed explainations for the statements posted. only remember that i am not here to make enemies, we have no enemies at this point. eventually those that neglect duty will arise and claim us as the enemy.

remember young people, much rests in your hands. dont forget what brought you here. the love of a revolutionary and the desire to fight injustice.

A very interesting post Pay Feo.

As you stated: "do we as his admires have any idea what the man was up against?"

I think we all actually do know. It has been made so clear through time that his love for humanity and his true and devoted struggle to make this a better world, that not even his detractors can deny it.

I guess, we not only share just a romantic admiration for him, but also a deep respect and wish to learn more and more from such a great man.

You're unnecessarily paranoid. I never demanded economic material as compulsory in this forum. I just wanted to make sure this reflected politics, rather than rather limp discussions about how much cops suck and how cool bongs are. :)

wow. you people are nice. i didnt expect anyone to read such a long analysis. i was surprised that it wasnt deleted. thanks...i think.

there is a point i am trying to make. only i need to get it together.

learning from Che is not easy. its one thing to want to be like Che and another to continue where he left off.

should one feel compelled at the obligation, then maybe another approach is in order.

apostasy now?

I came to this site to learn more about the Communist from Cuba who was on my shirt. I was Red already, but of my own persuastion (this was pre marx pre che pre anyone except lasn who I detest). While learning about Che I stumbled on two quotes that help to shape the way I view the world.

Let me say, at the risk of seeming ridiculous, that the true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love

This statement helped me peel away the layers of bitterness that I have set up between my self and my society. The culture I live in is corrupt and power hungry, yet by applying my self to trying to love the people and doing what I can to help them has benifited my frame of mind alot. I can see it in my writing, how I went from *****y poetry to more constructive poetry. From saying 'this sucks this sucks this sucks' to 'this is exactly what is wrong' and in some poems 'this is how to fix it'. Now most of my poems deal with society as a whole, but have a positive out look by the end.
I do not know the context that Che said that quote in, yet I believe that it can be shaped into almost any frame, and greatly suits your arguement pay feo. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the one you where looking for :)

The second quote is from Man and Socialism in Cuba, but I can't access that page right now so I will parapharse. "The people and the government both make music, they sing different songs, yet when they come together in meetings they combine into the most beautiful symphony. The music of socialism." I that is really wrong, but the point is the same. If the government is to look out for the people while dealing with forgien countries, the people are more or less responsible for the internal running of society. When the two meet, each having proposals for the other, that is when socialism occurs. The sounds of cooperation and comradery will fill the air, as only the people benifit from their labours. No more money going to the capitalist, or the oppressors. The benifits go to the people, and the government and the people, in thier songs, make sure of this.

These to quotes fit together at this point. Music carries great emotions. When the government and the people sing together they should sing for love, not hate. If they sing for hate you get America. If they sing for love you get Cuba. Cuba is an example of how the government is run by all people, although the Communist party recieves the most votes that is because it benifits the people not the elite. In America the elite controlls and runs the Government, and preaches hate. I look in my newspaper and see it. Even hate towards Cuba. Yet the song of love is still playing in the Caribean.

Love and Music. They are intertwined. I think if as socialists we combine the two then only good can come.

Thakn you pay feo for the excellant post

It's a shame, that in many revolutions, and in the revolutionaries themselves, that love is usually the first thing to be lost. It is important to always remind oneself that what we do is out of love for society and a love of justice, not hate, and not a sense of destroying those who have wronged so many, but a sense of making things right. This may be the same thing, but the emphasis should always be made on the creation of something better, not the destruction of something bad.
