its no secret i like taking baby steps...what can i say?

so in the spirit of promoting change, no matter how small i share this recent article from the local paper.

It is being looked upon as a step towards the fight against terrorism by the Americans.

The Senate Government Committe has voted to revise the state's loyalty oath. The first example not so impressive as the second.

First, anyone who openly admits that he or she is a terrorists is prohibited from working with the government. (okay, sounds logical for now)

Second, what will be remove from the oath is language that swears the person is not a member of the

Communist Party or any other organization that

advocates violent overthrow of the government.

The senators are pointing out that language is legally "irrelevant: to what? dunno just yet only we shall see.

anyway, just wanted to get some feedback from everyone on this small issue. thanks and good day.

They must think that because the cold war is over they dont have to shit there pants whenever they hear the word communist.

Anyway, thats good they have removed it. Then you can still stay honourable (yes there is a U in it)...

yes, only im suspect still...not because i want to write a song about it or demand that people exploit it and protest. as fighters of injustice we must educate the people, especially the youth.

i can speak on my owe behalf and will be careful not to cast a shadow over the works of others, especially because we know that it is not easy to start a fight.

we must be careful, the tables will turn and before you can say "its gonna be a good day after all" thats when another phase of the peace fighting war will kick in. we might as well say this is world war III and fight where we stand. the enemy does not sleep, nor do the fighters of injustice, so we take each day and we analyse it and look upon it as a "stratigec monday...tactical tuesday...winning on wednesday...and so forth and so on.

eventually we will become the anti-christ, the terrorists and the enemy will try and hi-jack the word "communist" so that it suits their purpose. only its too late, because as revolutionaries are main concern is love and justice. as long as we know truth, we use it as our weapon, let the rest protest for peace. we will fight where we stand in solidarity.

if asked by what authority do we do these things?, we have every right to ask them first (since we know the current laws have been made null and void) we will not be charged. internationally or locally. isnt anarchy? i dont know, im not studied in anarchy. there is a gift of righteouness that is for anyone who simply receives this gift, and at no charge of course. therefore, if we cannot be told by what authority they feel the right to impose the yoke of slavery upon us neither shall we speak of the authority we have been given a light yoke. no longer to live as slaves, rich nor poor.

so we identify some things and define some things and find out that we are all "different yet the same".

ah...and I thought mcarthyism was over in 1954...good they removed that, yet the "witch hunt" is not really over... what about the new mcarthysim?

thanks larissa for the reply. i appreciate your efforts and im curious as to what you speak on. what is mccarthyism? i only ask because im careful at this stage to read too much in fear of premature exposure on my part.

im still learning. would you be kind enough to summerize on the links posted?

as far as i know, the witch hunt was never really over, just impotent in its orgin. its "red light green light" time.

I believe we are all aware that "witch hunting" never ended. Are you serious about "mcarthysim"?

If you are, I was referring to Senator Mc Carthy, who strongly prosecuted commies back in the fifties. It is awfully known as the McCarthy era.

Many letfists refer to globalization as the new mccarthysim. (And I second that) e.g.= Just take a look at Bush's anti-freedom-of-speech policy towards the press. Anything published or said that is not something he agrees to, is just "leftist".

Good sites Larissa. It was all disturbing, however the story of the two buying stamps without flags on them was to me, the most frightening and random.

I would never have thought anything as mundane would bring about such a response.

We're in a lot of trouble here....
