the chances are i guess slim but did anyone watch newsnight on mon?

it established a link between a new political party and al qaida.

i am from the area and i never knew these type of people existed, i refer to the taliban lookalikes that my country has recently produced.
this sight sickened me to my core, to see these fucking muslims with beards down to their chests, it was never like this.

it showed footage of a captured ansar al islam soldier who along with others tried to assasinate the president of PUK and he said in no uncertain terms that there are alqaida forces in kurdistan. if these forces backed by osama and sadam take control of a country that is far more sophisticated than afghanistan in terms of weapons then i shudder to think what the future lies for not only my people but for people in america, britain and anywhere else they may see fit to attack.

i do, as much as I hate the son of a *****.

I also despise GW Bush.

I will give you my solidarity if those theocratic dogs try to take your country.

There is no way Saddam would want anything to do with Ansar Al Islamia, or vice versa. Osama is another matter...

Haraween what do you think that the response will be of the Arabic/Muslim world if Bagdad would be conquered by US forces?

I'ill tell you there will be a massive uprise of Al'qaida and other fundamentalist religious soldiers in the whole middle east and also at your beloved piece of land.

Look Afganistan, when the Soviet invasion force put foot down of Afgani soil, on "muslim soil", a massive wave of fundamentalist soldiers took over Afganistan.

I know you're a nationalist (piece of shit!) and sure you don't want something like that too happen in at your (superior) piece of dirt/soil.

saddam will support anyone who will try to undermine the fledgling democracy that is in place in kurdistan. we are a muslim nation but our move towards secularism upsets many muslims.

the countries surrounding iraq do not want him as its leader, kuwait, saudi arabia for example even provided troops to fight saddam in the gulf war.

cccp if all you can do is hurl abuse at me because of something i feel passionately about then please do not reply to any of my posts, you know my views. just because you are devoid of emotion and hate your country and fellow men do not assume we all think like you.
it is not about soil and it is your oppinion that my "piece of soil is superior" because i have not said this ever. go away and when you feel educated enough to understand me then you should feel confident in replying to my posts

As much as i know this ansar-il-islam scum is almost conquered. They occupy a mountain on the iranian border(surprise, surprise...guess who supported them...), the organization consists now of 700 fanatics(i heard that almost the halfe of them are arabs). There "campaign" was an desaster. They tried to assasinate the KRG Prime Minister Dr. Barham Salih, which failed.(booth terrorists and 2 peshmergas were killed)

I know you're a nationalist (piece of shit!) and sure you don't want something like that too happen in at your (superior) piece of dirt/soil.
whats your problem? We don't say that our soil, our people, our food(I hate kurdish food) is superior. But, we want our rights, and it looks like we can only get our rights by founding a kurdish state.

It's not about the people, it's your nationalistic feelings.

I support social-democracy, but nobody has to be the victim of it. In this case it seems that the Iraqi people would get trapped in a stronger regime supported by the US for decades, untill they overthrow him like many nations in South America did. Such coups cost a lot of lives and it's needless to let them suffer for decades. US backed regimes are much harder to overthrow than Saddam's regime, wich is weak. Just have patient and don't join the army of the first to attack Iraq.

Why are you such a pessimist? Who knows!!!Maybe there will be democracy in Iaq preety soon. Why should they establish a regime?
@hawarameen:
I can't eat this stuff. Without water melons I'd starve in kurdistan...The main prolem are the raisins. They are everywhere!!!!!In rice, soups. The eat raisins to meat, and all oter kurdish meals...I like raisins, but I don't like them together with cheese...And I don't like meat that much. I am not a veggie, but I eat meat rarely. And meat is in almost every kurdish meal...

you asking me to be patient shows your knowledge of the subject. we have been patient for 40 years under saddam and for many more decades before him. ok if saddam dies of old age what then, i tell you his son looks twice the maniac he is and saddam has often had to restrain them. when saddam goes his son will be put in power, then his son and his son after that, non of whom i suggest have an ounce of morality.

an american led democracy may mean an economic dictatorship run by america but i would sooner have this than a regime that would kill hundreds of thousands as part of its POLICY!!!

Deimos - yes raisins are everywhere and also if you dont like rice your probably going to starve
