When did it happen?i mean was it slowly over a period of time?or was it an event, book, film, music that changed everything for you?
For myself it was a couple of years ago, we were in history class, learning about the soviets standing up against america, facing down capitalism(granted it was stalinist, which is bad,but still) and the communist stand against facism.Ive always been an anti-facist, and my interest in communism was sparked because of my hate of facism.

Im interested in how peoples interest came about. So do tell!

I've always been anti-authoritarian, anti-fascist, anti-racist, anti-capitalist and all those other anti-whatevers we associate ourselves with.

In retrospect it was a long and slow process of learning from different experiences (not that it was inevitable that I would end up a radical, I could have gone lots of different directions). But the breaking point was going the the protests at the Democratic National convention in 2000. I went to thoes protests as a Green, got arrested in a trap set up by the police and came away from thoes protests as a red.

As someone once told me, a reformist is a revolutionary that hasn't been attacked by the cops yet.

Again, there were other more ideological reasons why I decided that revolution was necissary and other friends of mine who were also arrested did not become revolutionaries and two of them dropped out of activism alltogether after that experience. But this was one experience which made me seriously think about my own political assumptions and illusions.
