Some times I support violent revolution, at times democratic. Some times anarchy, some times a Lenin-esque type governemnt. Some times anarchist, some times socialist, some times communist. I just don't know what type I am. Is there a good survey or quiz on-line?

I also want to be realistic at times, like with democratic socialism, but I feel Red Anarchy would be best....ARGH I AM SCARED TOO MANY ISMS!

I simply don't call myself anything. I stopped believing in isms because my views cannot be narrowed down to one particular ideaology. I also don't like the way that isms can divide people into different sects that sometimes oppose eachother.

www.politicalcompass.org (http://www.politicalcompass.org)

Take that test and tell us how you score.

that wont help that much... he'll probably get -6 to -10 on economics and between 0 and -10 on freedom. As every leftist from Leninist to libertarian socialist gets...

it seems you arent sure as to which one is actually possible. you must look at history and the platforms of each to decide which one sounds the most realistic to you.

Well, I was really getting into Red Anarchy, you know, like durring the Spanish CIvil War. But my friend commented and said how Red Anarchy cannot survive with out an enemy.

Asx for the Compass, I took it a while back, I got like around -9 for both of the axis.

But I agree with Fist of Blood, isms do seem to divide us. And I wish that the entire LEft Wign would rise up, but that cannot be so sadly. I just would like to give people a general name for my political views. One that isn't going to look goofy or like I am just some poseur teen.

i'm feeling like that too. out of the blue today, my bf said: "i don't know what your politics are!" something which shocked and confused me as we're both anarchists and talk about politics like 70% of the time. but then i realised what an odd thing it was to say, and i said: "what does it matter anyway?" to which he said, "it does matter."

and i said, what matters is that i'm anti-sexism, anti-racism, anti-homophobia, anti-imperialism, anti-capitalism, anti-hierarchy. he can glean from that what he wants.

it disappointed me a bit to hear him being so sectarian tho :(

When I arrived here, I wasn't really aware of all the different ideologies out there. I was just a leftie, a commie. When getting into debate here it shows how many branches exist but yeah, what does it matter? We are all aiming for the same thing, maybe our approaches are different but so what? If we get into power one day then we will vote on how to rule things and the majority will win and that will be fair and that is how it will be. Work together for the revolution and sort out how its going to be afterwards via democracy!

That site is amazing at giving you an insight into your own beliefs!

My results? Economic Left/Right: -9.38
Social/Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.92

I am please with it! I knew that I had similar views to Stalin in terms of economic - I was scared that made me like him - this proves that I am not (quite the opposite when it comes to INSTATING such a State Controlled Economy)

I call myself a communist because I am a communist. Of course, I've stuck a fucn little 'anarcho-' in front of communist to separate my views from 'Communist' views.
