View Full Version : Do I have a choice?

Please do not lose your cool and answer my question:
If the owner of mode of production are the workers and goods would be produced according to the need then:
Will all the cars be made in same color and same model?
In a communist society some people will not be permitted to accumulate wealth so nobody will have money to demand an outrageous demand of having their own private jet.
Will there be any production of luxury items in a communist society?
What happens if same item is a need for somebody, a luxury for another and an unnecessory item for a third person, will that item be produced?
Since profit motive and competition will have no room in a communist style production, will people be simply coerced to work?
Will people drop their nature of acqisition , of their betterment, of their work more, earn more and enjoy more path?
Will people work without their natural forces of greed,
jealousy,compitition?
Will they work just out of goodness of their heart, work just for the sake of work?
Is the ultimate goal of communism is to transform people into a society of ants ?

People would not be able to accumulate wealth, but they can definitely save money. Work hard and save enough money so as to buy a private jet.
Communism is not a form a capitalism, there is no 'money', no wages and so forth.

Communism is the abolishment of all forms of capital, wages, employment, hierarchy, division of labor, property, work, ideology, politics, classes, state, borders, religon and any and all reactionary values.

Yes, they will willingly work for the betterment of the society and thorugh the goodness of their heart.
(1)You mean they work for the betterment of others without pay.
(2)What about those who don't?

Will all the cars be made in same color and same model?
if its necessary at certain times then yes. but as communists, materialism is basically gone. a car is transportation, so yes there would be different models for different kinds of trasnport. different colors? i dont see why not. but there wont be fancy cars anymore as they are useless and not practical.
In a communist society some people will not be permitted to accumulate wealth so nobody will have money to demand an outrageous demand of having their own private jet.
so, whats wrong with that?
there is no reason to accumulate "wealth" in communism. its not necessary.
Will there be any production of luxury items in a communist society?
of course. but some luxuries will no longer be considered "fashionable" or luxurious.
What happens if same item is a need for somebody, a luxury for another and an unnecessory item for a third person, will that item be produced?
can you give an example.
Since profit motive and competition will have no room in a communist style production, will people be simply coerced to work?
no, its the collective take on work. dividing it equally so as everyone can share the benefits from it. the motivation is that. or you could go back to capitalism and work or starve.
Will people work without their natural forces of greed,
jealousy,compitition?
no such thing as natural forces of greed. what your talking about is the bullshit theory of human nature
Will they work just out of goodness of their heart, work just for the sake of work?
work for the sake of themselves if they please. you work for others benefits because they are working for yours, mutual aid.
Is the ultimate goal of communism is to transform people into a society of ants ?
never. that has happened under capitalsm, take a corporation for example.

Will all the cars be made in same color and same model?
Why?
I can see reasons that people may decice that cars shouldn't be produced at all, if they are deemed an inneficient means of tranportation, or too polluent or dangerous. But if the decision is to produce them, I would say they would produced in at least as many colours as in capitalism.
In a communist society some people will not be permitted to accumulate wealth so nobody will have money to demand an outrageous demand of having their own private jet.
And if, for an exception, someone is going to get a personal jet, it will probably be someone who really needs very quick transportation. People with health conditions, I guess.
Will there be any production of luxury items in a communist society?
Of course. As a matter of fact, "luxury" items will represent a more important part of economical production under communism than under capitalism.
What happens if same item is a need for somebody, a luxury for another and an unnecessory item for a third person, will that item be produced?
Quite certainly. For instance, I have no need for a wheelchair, but there are many people who need one. So wheelchairs will be produced. The difference is, instead of producing as many wheelchairs as there are people willing to pay for one, we will produce as many wheelchairs as people need them.
Since profit motive and competition will have no room in a communist style production, will people be simply coerced to work?
Profit will have no room in a communist society. But it has already no room in a capitalist society, for those who work.
I don't know where from people take this idea that there will be no room for competition in a communist society. Of course this is false. The prize of competition, however, won't be economic.
Have you ever played chess (or baseball, or Doom)? Do you only try to win while playing chess if you are going to pe paid for it?
Will people drop their nature of acqisition , of their betterment, of their work more, earn more and enjoy more path?
People will be, probably, as acquisitive as today. But there won't be real need to "acquire" economic goods, and "acquiring" means of production will be impossible. Freed from such nonsense, people will strive to "acquire" really important things, such as a better comprehension of nature and society, more refined art, stronger friendships and love, etc.
Will people work without their natural forces of greed,
jealousy,compitition?
That, my friend, is what people who work do today.
Have you ever been inside a factory? Can you imagine a factory would function if its workers were allowed, in any sense, to put their "natural forces of greed, jealousy, competition" to show up inside it?
A capitalist factory is a place where cooperation - and only cooperation - is allowed.
So the answer, is, "yes, we will, just as we already do".
Will they work just out of goodness of their heart, work just for the sake of work?
Why not?
Is the ultimate goal of communism is to transform people into a society of ants ?
Why are the bourgeois so much scared of the antnest analogy?
Perhaps because they look at their factories and see the antnest at work? Perhaps because they fear their ants, I mean, workers, will, as a revenge, turn them into members of the antnest too?
The ultimate goal of communism is to transform proletarians, from the ants they now are, into real people.

Will all the cars be made in same color and same model?
Ultimately, the need for cars will be diminished by public transport. Most cars would be custom made for your bizzare demands.
In a communist society some people will not be permitted to accumulate wealth so nobody will have money to demand an outrageous demand of having their own private jet.
Hah, like we'd give you a private jet. Seriously though, if someone wants to slave over a plane for you ( and they do have to want to ) you can HAVE one.
Will there be any production of luxury items in a communist society?
Of course. People like luxury items, so they make them. Duh.

As for the latter portion of your post, I can't understand what you wrote, but I'm assuming it's just another "communism is impossible " assertion.
