My prinicpal is being a real dick. The idea to make consolidate power has popped into me head. He is going to make the whole eighth grade be punished over a couple little shits by cutting our lunch time in half. I intend on using the discontent made by this action to launch a student union. The platform, if all agree shall be:
1. An abolishment of all rules that shave first admendment rights
2 This means an abolishment of the Bible Club.
3 The ban on the confederate flag shall be lifted.
4 Group punishment shall be abolished.
5 Zero tolerance rules shall be abolished.
6 Homework shall be lighter.
7 The non offcial ban on sexual issues shall be lifted.
These provisions are quite resonable. The Bible Club is run by the wife of the dick and with the money funneled into it and the officailness of it could possibly be used in a counter attack on the union. I shall cite a violation of church and state and get the local ACLU on my side. The other reason is if they can shave that asspect of the 1st admendment, they can shave them all. Does anyone have any ideas for the organization of theunion? I could lose support if I am labled a communist, so please, all suggestions should seem nuetral for the sake of the cause.

Why the hell would you want that?

Because if they can restrict the right wing rednecks speech they can restrict everyone's speech. I am a firm believer in FREE SPEECH FOR ALL.

I know this may be hard, but you need to read this. (http://redstar2000papers.com/theory.php?subaction=showfull&id=1097152138&archive=&cnshow=headlines&start_from=&ucat=&)
From what I have read and make of your post, I don't think that what you are planning to do will work.
If everyone feels the way you do, you should do a non-violent resistance action (e.g. no one go to school, just ditch). If you are alone, well, you've been screwed over by the capitalist school system.
Maybe if you are really lucky one of your positions will eventually occur through a lot of struggle...but nothing with come from your, err, "protest".

I plan on being non violent. My first tactic shall be teach ins. If they can gag the right wingers, they can gag us too. We don't want to be gagged, so therfore we should make sure they aren't gagged either. Biggotry is a socail condition that shall die on it's own accord, therfore prescribing rules to it isn't going to hinder it completely. Do what we can in the legal realm, the rest shall die with a lack of oxygen.

Yes "they" can, but "they" won't, that's the point, they restrict the "right wing rednecks" for a reason, and a darn good one at that, it's called racism.
Free speech for all is a bullshit concept, free speech for Nazi's, free speech for racists, free speech for fascists etc. I don't think so.

yeah, recently a lecturer at a university in sydney made some incredibly racist comments about how africans were the dumbest people on earth, and actually tried to justify it with his bullshit 'research'.
in one of our student publications, they asked a few people what they thought about free speech in regards to this issue - i was shocked by the answers:
"It's good to have freedom of speech because people can express their views about anything and people feel comfortable where they can express themselves even if it's offensive to others. If you don't agree you don't have to listen, it's just another person's point of view."

"Absolutely. With such a diverse student population and backgrounds there are many different points of view. I have heard racist remarks but I don't react because others share my point of view."
there were others but i cbf typing them all up. every single person thought people should be able to say what they wanted, even if what they said was racist/sexist/homophobic/etc, even on national tv as this lecturer did.

Alot of people think that, and you'll find many of them right here on this board. They can't escape the "narrow realm of bourgeois right".

The ban on the confederate flag shall be lifted.
The confederate flag is banned because it is a symbol of hatred an racism. Would you also suggest the Nazi swastika be unbanned? After all, we wouldn't want to suppress anyone's free speech.
Homework shall be lighter.
Have you discussed this with the individual offenders? If you go over their heads without first speaking to them about it (preferably with support), it will not look good. This could be an isue that can easily be solved by speaking to them directly about it. If a substantial number of other students feel the same way, then you have something to discuss with the teacher(s).
The non offcial ban on sexual issues shall be lifted.
I'm not quite sure I understand this. Do you not have sex-ed classes in your school, or is it forbidden to talk about sexual issues?

Just a note of clarification here, for I'm not sure if everyone realizes. The confederate flag is not banned in most of America, and in fact is even the state flag in some places! It's only in a few select schools and workplaces that it's not allowed.

I have taken this into consideration. I have reasoned that light bulbs, heating, floors, and seats, are used by the Bible Club for meetings. They give the school no remberment for the hour's long wear they give them each week, and the items are paid by the tax payer. Therfore, the tax payer is paying for theolgical meetings they may not agree with. This is unconsitutional. THis shall be my argument.

I believe this is more like a national sort of law. No matter what you are not bringing in a gun or knife. Even if it is a saftey boxcutter or butterknife.

HA. On what grounds? This has nothing to do with anything. If you don't like the homework, go into a lower class. Education is one of the most important free things you will recieve.

Without saying I am homesexual (not that there is anything wrong with that) but I do not find it to be justified to have same-sex prom couples not be allowed. My school wont let same-sex couples be registered as couples for prom.

Floors and seats usually don't take much of a beating during class, no matter how much they shouldn't be used they will probably just chuckle at this.
I also believe light bulds are based on a "cents per week" due to lower costs and longer lasting.
Heating on the other hand, is a some what more "realistic" isses (well, one of the better four).

Not everything they say in it is wrong. There mathematics, science or english is not wrong. Most of the problem that people seem to find is in a history class.

Not in my school. My history teacher is a Moderate Leftist he always makes comments that he doesnt like bush and he hints at how evil the federalists were and how they saw the working class as inferior and unable to rule themselves. of course he cant make too outrageous comments or one of the right wingers would turn him in and he would get fired.

What history level? I am in a a 12th grader in AP Politics and Government. My history teacher (although he wont say what he is) is a Republican, although he does make jokes at both Republican/Democratic expense.

Ah, don't worry, plans off. The seeds of discontent were dug up by a shit assembly the princple ochrastrated. It was really stupid, but it got us out of class. It ended all anger, but next shall be different. I am a very dilligent student, honors to be exacted (don't worry, I do not posses that intellectual facsism some have), but that home work demand was made because the teachers this year have made work my LIFE. I am tired of this shit. A break is coming up soon, so I may retain sanity.

All I am saying is a suppression of freedom of speech on one side brings it forth on all sides. Hell, look at what happened in the USSR. Stalin was able to silence everyone, althought at first the party only silenced the former bourgise. Marxist Leninists need to revise the thesis of the dictatorship of the proletatariat by putting in more checks from the unlimted power of a singal party rule.

1. Go for it. It would be good
2. If you dont like the Bible Club then dont go to it. Simple as that <_<.
3. Thats kinda silly. Some people like it for how it looks even if IN THE FAR PAST it was meant as a sign of slavery.
4. I like that idea seeing as group punishment sucks.
5. Can't blame ya on that one.
6. I think everyone'll agree on that.
7. Ok and before I blow my temper or agree with you, what sexual issues are restricted?
