Ive just returned from Harare to visit reletives out their. What a mess, no petrol, no food. Regular food riots which are ruthlessly put down by police.

You walk down an alley a begger reaches out to you "please help, no clothes, no water, I cant feed my children". 2 days later you walk down the same alley a mount off rags lies where the beggar was, you continue along, as you walk the face of the man who was talking to you 2 DAYS earlier appears, lifeless, hes dead, fucking dead and theirs only one man we can blame

The bollocks i heard over here anout mugabe bieng a socialist is completely untrue. Everything is corperatly owned and you need money to pay for everything.
The climate is right for a revolution however it cant be organized from inside zimbabwe, nor can it be organized by zimbabweans as they have insufficient knowledge of fighting an effective modern rebel war therfore I reckon outside revolutionary influence is required. Why hasn't there already been an uprising you ask, simple the same as in iraq, they are to scared, some even too ignrorat to link whats happening arounf them to Mugabe.

It need to be quick, otherwise comrades, millions of innocent men, women and children WILL undoutedly die.
And if the US and commonwealth think imposing sanctions will help things they must be fucking crazy, it will only serve to worsen the conditions there!

Three years ago I was in Mozambique, and I couldn´t even trespass Zimbabwe´s borders.

IMO, the problem countries as Zimbabwe got nowdays is the same one any ex-colonized country is having -or will have- for quite a long time, including Government corruption, not to mention the idea its people get about what a welfare means or could mean...

The U$ and the Commonwealth imposing sanctions would just be their everyday agenda, so it´s just not a surprise at all. Remember they haven´t ever cared if because of their embargoes children, women, elderly, and/or any other civilian die at the end.

People in Zimbabwe are Tswanna right? They should take a lesson from Botswanna, and actually keep a stable government before they even think about industrializing. A nation can still have a high living standard if it's government is democratic, but years behind.

Seems to be a good place to start a revolution...

This is obviously due to neo-colonialism and apartheid. The colonizers simply leeched off their natural resources without helping them industrialize (or rather, preventing them from doing it because of harsh laws and the populations concentration on ending colonialism rather than industrialising). Now it is a backward country with world powers still thinking they own it and imposing acts that do more harm than benefit. Typical imperialist and neo-colonialist attitude.

Actully El Brujo nearly all the infastructure was contructed by the colonialists, i know coming from me that sounds a tad heretical but its true. The only 2 countries that have improved their infastructure have been South Africa and like Umoja said Botswana. However after saying that the imperialists didnt show or help the succeding governments in how to run their countries or give any aid whatsoever.

if your a 'comrade' of a 'comrade' or a brother of a 'comrade' etc then you can get special favors done for you, yes. But their is no middle class in zimbabwe. Money is worth everything but its 'worth' nothing.

1 zimdollar = 1/10 of a British pence or 1/5 of an american cent

Plz tell me some more about it. Or do I see it wrong?

I don't believe Ghana and Nigeria are in terrible safe, nor do I believe that Kenya is in completely dire straights. But, the main reason South Africa is in such good shape is because of the large white population "westernizing" the area. Botswanna is a different story, quite the opposite. I think once the British "left" Rhodesia (I think that is the right colonly), many of the Tswanna tribes, already united, used the British concepts of Republics and were able to tailor it to their own intrest. This method seems prefferable, but their government is biased towards the Tswanna, since all of the chiefs of the main Tswanna tribes have permenant seats in the government.
