Chavez Claims Victory Over Bush in Argentina Summit (http://www.marxismonline.com/modules.php?name=ForumNews&id=491)
The 4th Summit of the Americas, held in Mar del Plata, Argentina, finished on November 5 with Hugo Chavez claiming, The great loser today was George W. Bush. The man went away wounded. You could see defeat on his face.

Bush seemed to be pretty shaken up by it. You could tell he was by the way he conducted himself at the press conference.

This Hugo Chavez is a courageous man. After having suffered so much demonization, sabatoge and a CIA-sponsered military coup, he still continues on without comprimising with the imperialists like the other left-wing presidents. Unlike those other fakes, he has actually spent billions on helping the poor people in Venezuela (which I think are about 80%). And he is challenging American policies on the international level. This is precisely why America will not stop until he is dead. They will do to him what they did to Allende, Arbenz, Mossadegh, Lumumba, Sukarno and all the others who stood up to colonialism. And its a sure bet that if he is killed, the type of regime replacing him will be a savage military state and it will be a bloodbath directed at the working class, trade unions, democrats, socialists and Marxists. This is why it is so important for those of us outside of Venezuala to openly and publicly express our solidarity with Chavez and his cause.

Well groups like HOV are definately proving that Venezuela has international support, especially from the young left-wing.
I dunno if the US will manage to get rid of Chavez but if they do then we can't let them have another Pinochet style dictatorship.

I hope that when they kill chavez(they're sure as hell gonna try, and they might succeed), that the poor of latin america rise up and take back the power chavez gave them. but fo now, i'm glad Chavez won, we should have at least a few more years of socialism in venezuela, i just hope the example spreads before chavez is killed.

Is Chavez capable of doing anything else besides down talking bush? I mean seriously.. All I hear on the news about what Chavez`s last anti-bush comments were. This guy constantly wines and complains about how Bush tried to have him killed. Well, the US tried taking Castro out and failed.. Did Castro ever cry about it? NO! He stood firm and showed the world that he does not fear Yankee imperialism.
Chavez needs to occupy more of his time in progressing the revolution than preparing his next anti-bush statements to boost his popularity...the world already knwos Chavez hates bush... move on Chavez and do something more useful for Venezuela.. Show that you have some kind of leadership ability... No wonder the US doesnt fear you!!!! Fucking Pussy!!

^Chavez has done alot of great things
If ya don't agree, check out the poverty rate and literacy rate in Venezuela
Chavez stood up to the imperialists and won in Argentina
If he stays in power, Latin American will be a breeding ground for progress towards socialism or at least socialist policies
BTW anyone notice, well at least in the US, that the media blew up the riots and demonstrations in Argentina (portraying the demonstrators, as leftist radicals)----And yet, they downplayed the results of the summit, meaning the barely mentioned the fact that the trade agreement failed and that their president was humiliated!
Damn media!!
