Hello,
is anyone a fan of Mick Jones's (former Clash front man) 80's band Big Audio Dynamite?

I love their music, it's a real mix of sounds.

He's also in a new band called Carbon/Silicon.

I think he is also the producer for The Libertines.

I had wondered how long it would take for a BAD thread to come up. Im not saying BAD is awful..... its not....fantastic, some of those kuhrazy mixes I like though, but then I liked Sandinista by the clash so what does that say.

Never matches upto the original clash though, and definatly not as leftist as the clash, but then yknow politics and music shouldnt always be together.

He was indeedy the producer for the libertines (who you can really see a clash influence with if you think about it, cockrel call on man who would be king?) and I think he works with babyshambles now, those kuhrazy koka kola addicts who im sure you all have an opinion on.

All round though Mick Jones is a bit of a dude, he's my guitar hero, awww lovely story no?

It's a lovely story.

What do you think of his current band Carbon/Silicon?

I'm not crazy about BAD or BAD II.

I thought Strummer's post Clash stuff was great though. Sort of like the Lennon McCartney thing but I don't want to insult Mick by comparing him to that wanker McCartney.

I was more of a Jones fan than a strummer fan, best when they are together though.
