Hi,
I was wondering if in Cuba (or any other "communist" country), students are separated according to their skill level. For instance, those who perform better in math are grouped with others who perform well and those who need more attention are placed with others who need more attention. And how does everyone feel it should be. But I do want, if possible, to know how it's practiced in existing "communist" countries. Thank you.

Personally I think seperating people in classes depending on the speed they learn is fine. I don't see it as discrimanation in anyway, it's simply putting that person in an environment that will be more rewarding for them. If you mixed very quick learning people with people with slower rates of learning it can only do worse for both types of people.

However I'm not sure how 'communist' countries education systems work.

I think that they should be seperated out, as it is better for everyone involved:

Those people who learn slower, or who naturally aren't as talented at certain things as other people can be put in smaller classes where they will be able to get the intensive teaching that they need in order to be able to succeed.

Those people who learn faster can be stuck into larger classes and taught at a 'higher pace', meaning that they won't get bored and become disruptive (as is often the case).

It's not favouring one person over the other, it's seperating people out in a way that will allow everyone involved to learn more effectively and thus make the most of their intellectual capacity.
