I'm new here, and I've found the environment rather comfortable...I enjoy the fact that I'm probably blacklisted by the CIA now for joining after the Patriot Act and after my purchase of Mein Kampf for study. You have been friendly to me so far, and I am grateful for that. I should be here once in a while, and I consider myself a Socialist, and slightly Democratic, and every day I seem to despise Capitalism more from what I see and here...

Thanks for reading, and from what I've seen, I believed I will be welcomed.

Welcome!

What would distinguish you from "democratic socialism" and Marxism could be summarized in one question. Do you believe in the smashing of the old (bourgeois) state by a revolution?

Hmm...I do not know whether or not a revolution is necessary for the removal of the old Bourgeois. Capitalism may reach a point where it fails and cannot hold the gap between the poor and the rich, and Socialism may take hold naturally, as Marx said (I believe), or it may stand strong and we may have to force in Socialism with a revolution.

As for which I think is true, I believe that Capitalism (at least in the U.S.) is showing it's weaknesses, and the government may soon have to force a Socialist stance upon itself to close the gap between the poor and the rich in order to prevent complete revolution. In other words, I believe that it will take hold naturally in some form or another. But, I feel a revolution should be brought if it is necessary, or the government refuses to take responsibility and form Socialism...

Socialist as in heavy safety nets under a market economy or democractic workers' control of all of the means of production in a society?

Capitalism has been showing it's weaknesses for decades now; still the government continues to fight Socialism. The time of waiting for problems to solve themselves is over, I believe.

It's government...

They wanted bigger highways, so they raped us of our tax returns and started T-REX, a massive project on the highways that has like 4 more years to go and it's obsolete already (estimates show it was fit for the size of Denver in the 60's), because Gov. Owens supports the massive growth of the damned place, even though we don't have any water for more people to come, because the Colorado government is selling it all to Las Vegas golf resorts. They are settling in the mountains, destroying the beauty of it and ruining any incentive to go up there, and there is smog in the winter...a nice, brown, layer over the city in winter...also, they try to trick voters into going their way; example, they just passed a bill allowing Wal*Mart to push out any small businesses it pleases and create huge traffic where it is most unanted, by making it "vote yes if you don't want Wal*Mart", and "vote no if you want Wal*Mart" (it was also rigged, as the Wal*Mart people had the ribbon-cutting on site the day before the vote). And, we just passed another stupid bill that allowed them to rob us blind again of our tax returns for pet projects and more highways that will be obsolete before they begin to build, thanks to the disgusting growth rate...

Also, there is nary a thing to do here save for ski, go to movies, or go to Water World (largest water park in N. America). Don't bother with 6 Flags, that place the hairy monkey-ass of Hell...so the only resort is Lakeside, an 80-year-old theme park lacking large, modern rides...

Thanks for the welcome, btw...
