Hi Comrades,

I'm a 14 year old student from London. A friend showed me this site so I started reading threads here and decided to join up, from what i've read on here and on a few other leftist sites it seems that i am a Communist/Marxist.

Hasta la victoria!

I believe that many people are commies deep down inside our hearts. They just need to be more educated, so they can realize the truth.

Welcome, Altered State!

I agree fist of blood, I think communism/socialsim ideas appeal to many people and even right wingers will say "it's a good idea, just can't work in real life".

People also need to be provided with examples that show that the kind of change we want to see is possible. This is why small movements can become bigger ones very rapidly.

I mean it wasn't like Rosa Parks, for example, was the first person ever to recognize that segregation is bad. She was involved with civil rights groups and activities so when she made her famous protest, people were able to quickly call a boycott and organize around her action. Once the ball go rolling, other people who felt the same way but never tried to confront jim-crow because they thought it was a permanent state of affairs suddenly became much more radicalized because they saw that they system could be challeneged.

Cynacism keeps people in line because it makes people feel that they have been defeated before they even begin to strugggle. When a small movement is able to make gains, then cynacism is washed away and people do feel like they can change the messed up crap around them.

Well, when I first heard about the basic idea of communism 'equality' when I was younger it sounded like a good idea, but the media shows it in such a bad light, I guessed it must be a bad thing, then a friend showed me this site and the che-lives articles (mainly freedom vs the free market, which showed me a lot about capitalism and the problems of it), so then i got more into it and was looking around at this site and some sites/articles recommended on before i joined up.

I've always felt like a Marxist, so when I started reading Marx, I was like, "Holy crap! This is me!".
Exacly! Me too! :)

Welcome comrade
