I learned about her in photographer classes most of all photos shes took has hammer sickle in them made from different objects and some are hidden.

Her biography is really interesting, but I dunno if it was just me, but I couldn't click anything on the official site, I googled her and came across this other site that has a lot of information on her:

It is interesting to note that she was a friend of Frida Kahlo. (sp?) Also, the nudes of her were taken by Edward Weston, with whom she had an affair when she was married.
