What are the most enjoyable song you know on the guitar?

Links to tab, if possible, so a bit of sharing is possible.

I use the Power Tab Archive (http://www.powertabs.net/) which is a good source, althought it needs a bit more diversity.

Im a dork who likes playing Stairway (haven't got the solo down...) and... *goes to look through tab.
I've been playing a bit of Rammstein lately. Links 2-3-4 (http://www.powertabs.net/pta.php?page=song,2061) is good fun, especially the solo, as is Sonne (http://www.powertabs.net/pta.php?page=song,2071). They are easy, but they sound awesome. It took a fair bit of tweakage to get my cheap guitar sounding anything like the recorded version.

Plug in Baby (http://www.powertabs.net/pta.php?page=song,740) by Muse is also great to play, Matt Bellamy being genius and all...

This thread is a great idea btw; all us guitarists can get together and share resources, yay!

Hey there fellow guitarists,
I'm a Nirvana fan and find this site very useful, it effectively has all Nirvana songs ever released minus a couple. Enjoy or ignore :P

Guitar for Dummies

you can check all kind of guitar tabs on www.911tabs.com (http://www.911tabs.com) tablatures are pretty easy to figure out, heres an example:

the line on the top is the brightest string(E), and when it says, for example, "2" on that string, you will play the second fret on the first string&#33; Easy as that&#33;

When you feel like you&#39;re getting better just choose some harder songs to play&#33;

Heres some easy songs you can search for, for starters:

The Clash - Should I Stay Or Should I Go
Dresden Dolls - Good Day

No matter what I do, I cant get the 2nd string to ring true.. my fingers won t allow it :(

You just hold the inital chord, and the only finger you move is your pinky to push the 3-2-3-2&#33; No other finger moves&#33;

but when i position for the initial chord .. it deads the 2nd string.. :(

its just a regular D with added 3-2-3-2... unless youre holding the grip all wrong, which you probably should be working on then... thumb straight up on the back?

I think I very well may be. Plus I&#39;m not good with positioning and moving my fingers very well... I just got this guitar 4 days ago though, so I&#39;m trying.

Do you know of any other classic rock songs that are easy to play like that?

Here is a real easy one&#33; The Blues Brothers Theme song&#33; Play it on the top string(E)&#33;

and here is one ive made myself, which is very similar to "spanish romance"(remember that the top line symbolize the brightest string):

And here is how you should hold the guitar with your thumb&#33; It may be a bit tiredsome at first but youll get used to it&#33; Same with your fingers&#33; They start off being soft at the tips, but they harden after youve spent some time playing&#33;

I also play guitar and find that this is a great one to play its great for practicing finger movements on the fretboard.

Purple Haze, Star Sprangled Banner, and Hey Joe is the easiest Jimmy songs.. Purple Haze with highest distortion/gain possible is a fucking incredible song to play&#33; Try to vibrate the strings a lot, as thats what he usually did, to get that freaky sound&#33; I&#39;m still trying to get that signature playing-with-the-teeth, though :D &#33; God knows how he did that....

Going to start with classical guitar on school next semester&#33; Going to learn some Grieg, Bach, Mozart, etc. Going to be fun&#33; Maybe Ill update some of my homework as it develops.

i like to play dylan&#39;s "don&#39;t think twice it&#39;s alright"
it is a pretty simple fingerpicking pattern, but still sounds really good
http://www.dylanchords.com/ is a VERY good site for these&#33;

also, if you&#39;ve ever heard dave van ronk&#39;s rendition of "cocaine blues," it is another fairly simple (once you&#39;ve practiced fingerpicking a little) and sounds really good to play http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/getsome....caine_blues.tab (http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/getsome.org/guitar/olga/acoustic/d/dave_van_ronk/cocaine_blues.tab)

...playing nick drake is fun too, but the tunings are really annoying, though a really good guitar piece is "things behind the sun" which i think he uses standard tuning for&#33;

Most my tab is from mysongbook.com and they are guitair pro files. Personally I like playing cowboys from hell (or I used to when I could still get it down), but whiskey in the jar, freebird, and of course killing in the name of are great. Also Jeff Buckley&#39;s rendition of that Leonard Cohgen classic taht I can totally not spell for some reason.

try this (all on your highest gauge string, the "E" not the "e"):

--0--0/sl5----5--7--8--7--5--3--5--7--0 (change the last oen to the 12th fret next time round.

This is the famous riff from Fleetwood Mac&#39;s "the chain"
