I would go bluntly with them and say you are a Marxists / Leninist / Trotskysit / Maoist / Whatever and explain your beliefs to your mother. If she takes it okay, ask her on how you should explain your beliefs to your step-father.

If that doesn't work out, depending on how old (if you are older than 18) you are you may wish to move out.

Are they very political? If they are politically aware then it may be harder from them to accept your views than if they weren't.
You just gotta argue for your beliefs. If you want the revolution to happen then telling your family your values will be easy in comparison.

My parents think I'm a socialist and they're pretty cool with it. I also go to a catholic school. In your case it might just be best to stay pretty quiet with your beliefs. And what is yfis?

 Ouch.
I feel sorry for you comrade. Maybe you could start by slowly explaining them what communism really is, and what is certainly is NOT, as we all know about the anti-communist propaganda the American government has been spreading over all these years (I'm assuming you live in the US). Then start telling them about your view on things, and how you think everybody is equal. Ye be warned: you'll probably get some negative reactions from your environment, but don't let that stop you. You should already be proud of yourself for not being another ignorant
un-political fool :)
I wish you all the luck, comrade.

Just be frank wit them bro
Ur a person with an intellect and u deserve to have beliefs that are respected by all, including your folks

Or u can also, show em how jesus was all about sharing and not living in affluence
The bible is ur friend

I wouldn't use the bible as an argument, that's like shouting "Sieg Heil!" to get a nazi ***** into your bed.

Alright maybe its not ur friend, but therez many instances which expose the anti-capitalistic view of Jesus and others
