Was just wondering, sparked from a thread asking about political parties in Cuba. In Cuba theres only the official communist party, si? Well, isn't that right, I mean in theory once a state has turned to communism like Cuba 'has' is theres a need for other parties. But...under communism, should there not be parties for branches of communism? Or does it depend on how society is structured to how politics would function.
Capitalism is a social structure and it has many politcal parties, even ones opposing capitalism. Would communism have parties opposing it?
Is it right to restrict the number of political parties?
Would there exist parties like they do now, for instance in UK theres Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrats as the leading parties, would there be these parties under communism? I think it would change drastically.
