Hey people i'm a new to forums and new to socialism and lefty stuff. I've read the book "Che" by Jon Anderson, and "Mao" by Jonathan Spence and thats about it. I need some basic stuff to read. Anyone got any suggestions.

yep CM, read it many times to full grasp the concepts, id also Buy Marx-Engels reader it has some really great stuff

Hey im new to this site and being lefty! But im loving it! umm i've read a few Che bios there really interseting!

i suggest when you have read the che books then move on to marx :marx: and maybe lennin or Castro, so you can get a feel of all opinons? hope that helps

I actually don't know if you want to dive into Marx right away.

I've always had more sucess learning from the various "Introduction to Communism/Anarchism" type of texts.

Just google it, you can't go wrong.

Some of these books can be tough reads for people new to communism like you. I would suggest that you do a little research online first then move to more historical literature like the Communist Manifesto or other works by Marx or Engels. However the manifesto is a pretty quick read.

I read the FAQ and found it very informative but i'd like to ask what is bullshit in the "Che" book. But then again I don't know the facts so I guess I shouldn't be questioning you. But I would like to hear a couple of examples just out of curioustity. And thank you everyone for all the book and website ideas.
